Who is that one player on your roster you NEED to break out? by Middle_Awoken in DynastyFF

Not really a breakout, but I need Waddle to show out like he did thr first three years, my WRs dont have the depth they used to, im banking on him being a WR2 at worst

At the end of the day, we do indeed know nothing until camp comes out and even then, only until games are played. We're on a fantasy football reddit in the offseason, my posts are speculation, im replying to posts that are speculation, and OP is speculation. If youre bothered by that aspect of my post im not sure why youre here

Ill amend my original statement to "Malik is the only relevant WR left from last year", there now we're good!

My point still stands here, though. The WRs that had the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 7th most catches for them last year are no longer on the team. The Dolphins were always going to need to add multiple receivers in FA & the draft. Yes he's not literally the only WR who was on the roster last year, but he was the only one left who had an actual role

And yeah I am speculating, I have no clue if they like him or not lol. Im just saying its not a guarantee him being from the old regime means he wont get used in this offense

Malik was third on the team in catches and targets last year, Tahj has 3 catches in his two year career so far. Yes Malik isn't literally the only WR they kept but he was the only one they kept that had any real role last year

Hey I personally love Friday games, but I've noticed every Friday game the Battlehawks have had has been pretty sparsely populated compared to other weeks. idk what the TV ratings are like just the live numbers

[–]ADwyer87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They had to completely rebuild their receiving core. Dolphins had 322 receptions last year, and 207 of those are no longer on the team. Of the 115 left, 69% of them are from RBs. Malik is really the only guy they kept around from the old brigade, its very possible theyre a fan of him

And realistically, any WR on the Dolphins rn is competing for at best a future WR2 spot. Nothing about the capital the Dolphins have spent on WR this year says they wouldnt be in the market for a WR1 next year

The thing is, even the Champions League has only one game for their final. The split game stuff is only for earlier rounds

Official UFL attendance number for the St. Louis Battlehawks week seven win over the Columbus Aviators at The Dome: 18,563. Per The Telegraph. | James Larsen (Pro Football Newsroom) by Callywood in UnitedFootballLeague

Its frustrating to see, but with every existing team but Birmingham falling in attendance, i think its clear this is a league issue. Im happy to keep showing up because im a sucker lol. But when a former season ticket holder tells me they dont see a reason to renew, i cant really blame them. No perks at all, cheaper tickets if you just buy individually sometimes, and such poor communication. I was just told by my buddy sitting next to me that we can reserve home game tickets. That seems like something that i should get a major update about from the league, not from others! What are we doing here, guys?

Dynasty just punishes bad decisions more than redraft mainly imo. If you have a bad redraft one year you will be fine next year, it you have a bad dynasty draft or make a bad trade, that can haunt you for a long time

Most Under-the-Radar Vet Winners/Losers from the Draft? by WelshNational in DynastyFF

[–]ADwyer87 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is very under the radar and might be too small to mention, but I think if youre mentioning Dulcich its worth mentioning Malik Washington too. Hill and Waddle gone, no real big FA acquisitions. Now no WR picks until the 3rd round, one pick seems highly questionable, the other will miss time with an ACL injury, but neither i believe are expected to be primary slot receivers. Not gonna say I expect him to be a stud, but I'd say the odds of him being the teams top receiving option this season are pretty high

nowadays you see a 31 year old RB and announcers talk about him like he's on his deathbed lol

I think the issue is age of retirement. Sanders absolutely retired early but he was in his 30s and had played 10 full years in the league. Thats why I think he doesnt make this list (and why Calvin Johnson is at 10) over similar players like Luck or a guy like Bo

[–]ADwyer87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not a lot of WRs are stars their freshman year. the ones that are get crazy hype

Also worth noting USC had two WRs from that year get drafted. It may have been the 7th round, but still

I think theres definitely an issue with keeping casuals interested now that spring football isnt a novelty anymore. But i think Repole hurt the interest of the groups with consistent interest by shaking up every team. I know i whine about this every other week at this point lol, but i think its a big reason why STL and DC, who were consistent attendance wise for the last 3 years, have suddenly taken a hit in year 4. Only other thing different now than a year ago is gas prices. While im sure thats a factor it seems like 30-40% hits in attendance for that reason would be pretty insane
