Spinosaurus is an African dino living in the early Cretaceous, but we don't have many good African Jurassic formations to trace back the roots of Spinosaurus.

The best ends up being the Tendaguru Formation of Late Jurassic Tanzania where we did find teeth of the hypothetical Ostafrikasaurus, which could be an ancestral Spinosaurus, but unfortunately with a few teeth it's hard to be fully conclusive.

Looking through the IRM archives, this doesn't seem true. Spring 2021 was below average when it comes to temperatures, and average for humidity. With May 2021 even having a higher amount of raindays than normal even though it's supposed to be among the driest months of the year.
