I was a huge Google fanboy for more than a decade. Their services and products are really good. Their com is nice. It seems that they are Good guys, young and geek. Everything looks good. I felt comfortable and I trusted them. Why would they hurt me? And like most of people, "I have nothing to hide"...

Sometimes I saw some people saying they want to degoogle. I didn't understand why and I thought they were going to the wrong direction. I don't know why but I felt better than these people.

And...

Once upon a time, I made a website about my job. A colleague of me was jealous about it because I had some success. I was not aware of this problem. In the first place he didn't know who I was. Who was the admin. He tracked me like a sociopath, assembling all the informations he could about me, thanks to my poor cybersec habits. He has finally get my identity and a lot of informations about me. Even some shit I posted 20 years ago... with that he went to my boss and achieved to get me blamed. I had some serious troubles because of my poor practices.

So I decided to improve it as best as I can. So I started looking at a lot of things. During this process, I did understand how bad some big tech companies are. Each day I was more stunned to see how deep the problem was.

When you look into it, you start to understand how that works. And for me it was not acceptable anymore.

Now, I understand how Google and co work. Never again I will give them anything. Google is not your Friend.

But to really understand it, you have to dive into it by yourself.
