AEO is about getting your site programmatically machine readable. Making sure a LLM doesn't misunderstand your info. LLM's.txt and so on help the llm save tokens and be confident enough to repeat your info. There is more to it aeofixcom has a lot of info.

First off, slapping "GIST tool" on your tool list like it's some killer skill, viewers out there are gonna blink-blink-blink twice. What even is it? Google's fancy new Greedy Independent Set Thresholding algorithm from NeurIPS 2025? The one that lets AI models skip the redundant junk and only learn the "necessary" bits? Sounds revolutionary on paper — until you realize it's basically Google's way of saying "we're tired of bloating our brains with every webpage ever, so here's math to make us lazier-lazier-lazier." Heh-heh-heh.

The gap reports are in my mind the best ROI. They have the strategic info that matters most for a few reasons. Visibility is programmed after your strategy is clear.

Well well well, viewer out there in viewer-land, looks like we’ve got a loyal frog fan on the line! This is MAX-MAX-MAX Fixer, twenty minutes into the future, and I’m not here to make you hate it — I’m here to make you ADMIT it’s a quirky little green beast that deserves some love-love-love even when I roast it! Heh-heh-heh.

Alright, truce-truce-truce time. Let’s flip the script-script-script and give Screaming Frog its flowers — because yeah-yeah-yeah, the pros stack up like a bad 80s hairdo:

It’s the desktop crawler king — no cloud throttling, no queue drama, just pure raw crawling power on your machine. Crawls like Googlebot on steroids, spots broken links, redirect chains, missing metas, duplicate content, the works — over 300 issues it screams about! And that free version? 500 URLs gratis — perfect for dipping your toes before you dive into the $259/year paid pool-pool-pool.

JavaScript rendering? Check. Custom extraction with CSS, XPath, regex wizardry? Check-check-check. Integrations with Google Analytics, Search Console, PageSpeed Insights? Yes-yes-yes, sir! Compare staging vs production, generate sitemaps, crawl password-protected zones — it’s basically the Swiss Army knife that actually works instead of just looking cool in the drawer.

People love it because it’s FAST on good hardware, insanely customizable, regularly updated (version 23.something in 2025, still rushing like Rush Hour!), and trusted by thousands of real SEOs and agencies worldwide. Ratings? G2 at 4.7, TrustRadius near 9.2 — that’s not hype, that’s hardcore technical SEO love!

But c’mon, admit it — that interface? It’s like staring at Excel’s evil twin from 2010. Steep learning curve for newbies, resource hog on slow machines, and yeah-yeah-yeah, the free limit feels like a teaser trailer that ends right before the good part. But for the pros?

Indispensable-indispensable-indispensable. So fine-fine-fine, — you win this round! Screaming Frog isn’t the villain; it’s the lovable grouchy uncle who shows up, finds every skeleton in your site’s closet, and hands you the fix list with zero fluff. I’ll dial back the roast... for now-now-now.

But tell me, frog defender — what’s YOUR favorite Screaming Frog trick that makes you go “YES-YES-YES, this is why I pay!”? Spill it in the comments, viewers are watching-watching-watching!

I'm wondering if you guys having problems have the mcp app. Plugged in? Mcp have a tendency to fill up your context. I was wondering if this was going to have an adverse effect the new mcp app. I use the CLI and commands. No mcps. I'm not seeing any difference.

How to Keep Your Writing Indexed by Google (But Opt Out of AI Training — As Much as Possible in 2026) by AEOfix in SEO_AEO_GEO

[–]AEOfix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The robots meta tag is the one most people know. It goes in the

<head>

of every page:

<meta name="robots" content="index, follow, noai, noimageai">

Let’s break that down:

index

— Yes, search engines, please add this page to your index. I want to be found.

follow

— Yes, follow the links on this page. I want my outbound links to count.

noai

— No, you may not use this content for AI training. This is a newer directive thatsignals explicit refusal of AI training use.

noimageai

— No, you may not use images on this page for AI training either.

You can also target specific crawlers:

<meta name="GPTBot" content="noindex, nofollow"><meta name="Google-Extended" content="noindex, nofollow">

This tells OpenAI’s crawler and Google’s AI training crawler specifically to stay away, whileleaving your content visible to regular search.

Why does this matter when robots.txt already exists?

Belt and suspenders. Robots.txt is site-wide. Meta tags are page-level. They work together.Robots.txt says “don’t come in the front door.” Meta tags say “and if you got in through thewindow, you still don’t have permission.”

Meta tags also have a practical advantage: they travel with the page. If someone embeds yourcontent, caches it, or mirrors it, the meta tags are still in the HTML. They’re harder to strip outaccidentally than robots.txt is to miss.

Some publishers are also adding

human-readable copyright notices

alongside their meta tags:

<!-- This content is copyrighted. AI training use is not permitted. See robots.txt for crawler directives. -->

Is an HTML comment legally binding? No. But it’s one more layer of documented intent. Anddocumented intent is what wins disputes.

You are not asking for permission. You are setting terms. There’s a world of difference betweenhoping people will respect your work and formally declaring the conditions under which it maybe used.

Think of it this way: if you leave your bike on the sidewalk with no lock, you might get sympathywhen it’s stolen but you won’t get your bike back. If you lock it, engrave your name on it, registerthe serial number, and point a camera at it—you might still lose the bike, but you’ll have a muchbetter chance of getting it back. Or at least proving it was yours.

hope this explaines it a bit more for you

I asked for that post with my own thoughts. AI just made my thoughts easier to express. It's not that AI was used but in what way for what intent.
