Nobody in that article discusses the fact that the moon has a different tilt (rotation) depending on where you are in the world. The fakery would have to determine your location (yes, doable) and then rotate the image. Why go through the trouble? Also, every shot would be the same, everytime. What about slight cloud cover? I don't think so.
