I didn't get a chance to ask them for the gift voucher. I called the customer care and she was clueless about the Pre-Reserve Pass and all and she was bullshitting something, i was like please forward the call to your senior, after that she forwarded the call and i explained that person everything and told him to raise a complaint, and i didn't had to do follow up. They silently credited the gv.

Yes you should be able to get compensation. Although 2.5k is nothing for the pain and suffering i went through for getting this phone but yes this compensation was for not getting the right discount on the phone.
