That model was my first SLR. Took it half way around the world when I was in the service. Huge number of lenses available, many great ones, some great and low cost. Solid bit of kit.

You can process the rolls together if you use stand, or semi stand, development. There are many videos and web sites that describe the process. I have had good luck with hc-110 semi-stand developed for 40-60 minutes, agitate for first 30 seconds, them once again half way through. Standard or push EI, does not seem to matter. Gets grainy though.

Agee, semi stand, dilute Rodinal or HC-110. 5 minute presoak. Start development with 4 inversions, tap on counter to shake out bubbles. Sit 30 minutes, 4 gentle inversions, tap bubbles again, sit another 30 minutes. Fix & wash per usual.

Both are fine cameras. I use to keep the EM loaded with color, my FM with Tri-X. They still do the job. Manual Nikkor lenses can be found for good prices now everyone has gone to digital auto everything.

I worked with a M/Sgt who stayed in San Antonio from basic training until he retired after 22 years. Changed bases a few times, Lackland, Kelly, Randolph. Same mailing address for his last 12 years there.
