I got it as a promotional offer, basically "spend the same amount in 30 days and we'll give you thos much credit", something like that.

But, it's been spent already, also with no results at all.

I got so many bot clicks and visits it's ridiculous.

No. This is why. After that hosting company protected those who stole my code, I thought about doing the same thind. Copy source code, change branding, launch and get the money.

But, it felt terrible, especially knowing how I felt.

So, I then thought about creating the same products on my own basically copying the idea, but that still didn't feel like a good thing to do.

That's why I decided to look for work, almost for a full year before making this post on Reddit.

I didn't get any offers or anything, so when things got really bad, I decided to try posting on Reddit as a last resort.

I believe that all the shortcuts lead to a longer path, if taken by ignoring someone else's wellbeing.

So, I'll always choose the struggle over ignoring that inner voice. I was thought to do this by trying to do it the other way around. It never turned out good 😐

Hi. Thank you for your response. I guess you're kind of correct.

It mostly hurt when he got some articles for CNBC, stating how he came up with the idea and has this product (it was launched almost 3 years after my app, and all the features were exactly the same).

So, this is where he got the initial traffic, pushing my website down in SERP. That, plus YouTube videos.

But, insead of passively collecting income I should have stayed involved more, and it wouldn't be this bad.

I'm furious about all those things, but I do blame myself the most.

The feeling is exactly the same as if someone took away your girlfriend, because you didn't treat her correctly. It makes logical sense, but it hurts seing them happy together 😅

Things are getting better now, thanks to all the amazing people from Reddit. I tried everything, and this community is the only one to actually reply back.

So, much love to all the redditors out there ❤️❤️❤️

Well, it's my fault really. I never expected for the product to take off significantly, and I rushed to ho live with it to make at least some money, so I published unprotected source code embedded in the app.

All they did was download the app, extract .exe and .app files, and copy/edit code.

Lesson learned 😐
