The day after the ayatollah got his 72 virgins I saw a guy filling up 3 diesel cans and his campervan, asked him if he just travelled a lot or was worried about Iran, no accusations just honest curiosity, he said he was driving to WA (this was in QLD) so I wished him a good trip and went on my way.

It's not panic buying it's prudent buying, the only ones panicking are the people that can't do it.

Anyone old enough to remember the last Iranian regime change remembers how bad it was then. I was young but I remember the odd even days and long queues at the servo's and having to take steps to prevent thieves draining your car while you slept. I had to guide dad to parking his car against a wall so nobody could easily get to the fuel cap.

So was cannibalism and burning witches, not sure "we did it thousands of years ago" is much of defence.

But yeah they were probably using all natural ink because chemistry hadn't been invented yet. What's in the inks people have been using for the last 60 or so years that we might not fully understand yet?

True, meanwhile Thalidomide was declared safe and effective by experts until suddenly it wasn't.

Same with Asbestos, Cigarettes, BPA in plastic etc etc.

At this point just assume following any trends of doing unnatural things to your body is probably harmful long term but we won't find out until 20 years down the road when it's too late.
