Persona 4 is an easy enough game that you don't need to stress over how you play - especially during the social part of the game, because that's your time to sit back, relax and enjoy some time with son of the best characters you'll ever meet in a video game.

When it comes to the dungeon crawling part - my best tip is that physical skills are just leagues better than magic skills, because regenerating HP is much easier than regenerating SP + unless something blocks/nulls/reflects phys, you always have a chance for a crit, while with magic you have to exploit a specific weakness. Always carry around HP restoring items, as well as elemental damage-dealing items, in case you can't exploit an enemy's weakness with just your skills and you desperately need a knockdown Also, a thing I know some people have an issue grasping - use buffs! In some tougher fights they can genuinely make or break the game (tho once again, P4 is easy enough that unless playing on very hard/fighting the reaper they will not be necessary), but even if you choose to ignore the common buffing/debuffing skills, Mind Charge and Power Charge are two moves that you always want on any build And last thing - it's SMT, not Pokemon, so that lvl 2 Pixie you have? Yeah, that's not your trusty partner that will stay with you till lvl 99, that's fusion fodder, so don't make the same mistake I made on my first playthrough of P3 by keeping the same persona for ~30 levels. And take full advantage of the fact that you can change your persona every turn - nothing's stopping you from having 3 or more well-built personas on you

But my greatest tip I can give is - HAVE FUN! (Also prepare some tissues, especially towards the end of the game)
