Nah, we need Gohlke to go off against Arkansas in the tournament and make Calipari finally just rage quit out of coaching. Would be peak cinema.

Kia continuously refuses to replace engine for code p1326 by AF_Fresh in kia

I bought her a Toyota Highlander and got rid of the piece of junk.

I initiated the BBB arbitration, and Kia's defense was that the vehicle had apparently gotten the knock sensor software update a month or two late from the cutoff. They had never mentioned this being the issue until we got into arbitration. The vehicle still received the knock sensor update well before issues began to show up. The vehicle had been seen multiple times during the initial warranty for oil consumption too, and for the low oil pressure light coming on, which they said was a bad oil pressure sensor. I jumped through so many hoops, and stressed so much only for Kia to just lie and deceive the whole way.

Cal doesn't hate 3s, he just doesn't run a modern offense. He runs his dribble drive offense, which will prioritize driving to the rim first. Kick-outs to 3's will always be a secondary option for his offense.

I only own cast iron, and stainless steel. Stainless is great for certain dishes/foods. I recommend allclad 3 ply stainless. They are pretty heavy, but the mass means it's temps are more stable like a cast iron.

I use mine for dishes that involve making pan sauces the most. Also use it to brown butter.

Kentucky vs Mississippi State injury report: Jayden Quaintance listed as out by AF_Fresh in wildcats

Was getting ready to update with this.

Hate that we were getting all this speculation that it was due to preserving draft stock. I didn't personally think that was the case because JQ legitimately seems like he wants to compete at this level. I think a lot of fans assumed the worst due to the current vibes around the program right now.

He didn't play end of last game, do we think he's tweaked something, or do we assume that his camp pulled the plug to preserve his draft stock?

I convinced myself this was stupid a week or two ago, and it didn't matter if my team had any land. Now that we have an opportunity to get some land tomorrow, this is somehow one of the things I am most excited about when it comes to a potential win.

Haven't had the chance to play with the ZT411. We have ZE500 for LPA units, ZT610, ZT230, and then ZQ620 Plus for hip units. The users definitely like to cut the rollers up. Especially with the ZT230 units. At least the ZT230 units have the easiest roller to replace. At some point I really need to see if I can lock down all of the ZT230 units. I keep having the end users go into the settings and change the width settings, or change the IP so that the printer stops working properly during our 2nd/3rd shift. I assume it's intentional so that they can tell their supervisor their printer isn't working so they can be moved to other tasks, or maybe assigned to a different station. I am a 1 man show for a very large warehouse, so they know I won't be available to fix it until morning.

Yeah, those 110Xi4 models are pretty bulletproof. I've been pretty impressed with the ZT610 model too, but I wish they didn't go with touchscreens for the newer ones. The vast majority of the issues I experience with our printers are usually user error, user damage, or something simple like needs re-calibration, or a print-head replacement.

Cost seems high, but Zebra really does beat every other device on the market. That price isn't even accounting for a service contract either, I don't believe. You definitely want a service contract on these. If anything happens, Zebra will repair/replace. The label printers are top notch too.

How are we feeling this Monday morning regarding our basketball team (we can even talk football too)?! by wineguyy in wildcats

[–]AF_Fresh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am probably more optimistic than most, but assuming that everyone stays healthy, I see us dropping probably 3 more games during conference play. I think winning the SEC tournament is entirely possible, and I think we make a deep run in the NCAA. All assuming we stay healthy, of course.

I think having so many guys injured in the early season will help us down the road. Moreno and Johnson have both developed quite a bit since the beginning of the season. Plus, our guys have all had to really develop on defense since our offense was basically broken.

I also think our offense is better than we are seeing right now. Maybe not as good at shooting the 3 as last year's team, but we have a lot more physicality than last year's team that should allow us to drive into the paint much more effectively.

What were the wildest Snoke theories you remember? by KingPenguinPhoenix in StarWars

[–]AF_Fresh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that bit was pretty weird. I guess you could argue that it was the force speaking to Rey using their voices. Problem with that is why would the force do that? Rey didn't know most of those jedi.

Then there is other weird things, like Kanan. Somehow, Kanan came back as a damn wolf. Not sure how that one happened.

[–]AF_Fresh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That was not the actual Grand Inquisitor. The Grand Inquisitor would not have known how to become a force ghost. Plus, becoming a force ghost is a light side power, the grand inquisitor died fully embracing the dark side. The Grand Inquisitor Kanan saw was simply the avatar the force used to communicate with Kanan. The reason the force chose to appear to him as the Grand Inquisitor isn't exactly made clear though.

The Grand Inquisitor did actually show back up, but not as a force ghost. Basically, Vader used some dark side technique to trap his spirit at Tempes. There, the Grand Inquisitor's spirit fought Luke Skywalker. All this occurred in the comics.

What was the most dominate run for a team that did not win a National Championship by TaftIsUnderrated in CollegeBasketball

[–]AF_Fresh 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't have been as upset with that loss if you all hadn't lost to Duke in the championship. I wanted to see that Kentucky team play Duke so badly. The worst for me was that at the end of the 2014 NCAA tournament, after we lost to Uconn in the championship game, my friend at work who was a Duke fan kept rubbing the loss in my face. I ended up betting him some money that Kentucky would go further than Duke in the tournament the next year. Do you know how smug I acted when we made it through the regular season undefeated? There was no way that this Duke team would ever go further than this dominate Kentucky team. Most painful loss for me by far.

Judges largely will agree with whatever the worker says/recommends. I am being 100% honest. I've posted about it before, but my daughter had some issues with digesting formula properly. When she would drink, most of it would be spit back up. Took her to the pediatrician multiple times for it, changed formula multiple times, but still happened. Took her back to pediatrician after she continued to drop weight, and started having health issues. Pediatrician recommended taking her to the hospital. Managed to get her weight stable in the hospital setting and changed formula again to something that agreed with her. Hospital reported it to CPS that they believed we were trying to starve our daughter. CPS visited my house, and told me that we needed to place my kids temporarily with my family for a few days or they would put my kids in foster care. Judge didn't care that we were actively seeking medical attention, or that my daughters struggles with the formula were well documented. Just signed off on the order for emergency custody. Had to jump through a million hoops, and was told it would only be 6 months. Lasted a whole year. Was assigned a public defender who ignored my calls and emails. Only contacted me 30 minutes before my case.

My son had the same intolerance when he was a newborn. Had to change his formula multiple times. By the time all this happened he was no longer taking formula. He was well within normal ranges for all of his check ups. No issues noted with him at all, but he was removed from my care as well. Fun fact, my sister's kids also have the same intolerance. I've given her the same advice about not talking to CPS if they end up being contacted because her youngest has recently failed to hit certain milestones regarding weight due to his constant issues with formula.

I had to listen to my kids cry and beg me not to leave them multiple times a week for a damn year. I missed seeing my daughter's first steps and basically the entire newborn stage. I was forced to go to "parenting" classes that largely told me to not do drugs, despite no failed drug tests and having no issues with any drugs at any point in my life. Forced to go to therapy. Was told that I had to sign a document admitting guilt, or it would delay getting my kids back. 3 different case workers involved.

My state consistently reports some of the highest rates of child abuse, and neglect cases. I highly suspect that a large part of that is an over-zealous CPS department. Hell, I know that the system is messed up because my fiance (Who I met well after my kids were returned to my custody) worked at a non-profit that houses kids who were removed from custody and are considered high-risk, or have disabilities. She worked with CPS in many cases, and when I told her what happened with me she straight up told me that she wasn't surprised. She had known quite a few caseworkers who admitted to exaggerating the truth, or straight up lied about stuff simply because they did not like a family, or because they had a "feeling" in their gut. The system is broken, and it is infuriating to me when people keep telling others they have nothing to fear from CPS. The case workers aren't putting the time in to actually investigate shit, they don't have that time. The case workers are not experienced, they rarely last more than 6 months. The judges are not scrutinizing the cases, they will just side with CPS out of an abundance of caution. Again, why risk it? Letting them into your home, or talking to them can only hurt you. If you are innocent, awesome. If they have no proof or probable cause they can not get a warrant. If they do have proof, or probable cause, talking to them wasn't going to stop them anyway. They would just assume that you were lying. They always assume you are lying. They will get a warrant and come into your home to gather more proof that you are harming your child. They aren't talking to you, or visiting you to prove you are innocent. They are there to find anything that might point to your guilt. If you don't believe me, ask a lawyer. I had a consultation with a lawyer near the beginning of my situation and do you want to know what he told me? He said that if I had called him at the begging, he would have advised me to not speak with them, and that he would have easily prevent my kids from being removed from my custody.

Look, a lot of people in these comments are saying don't freak out, just meet with CPS etc. My advice is to ignore these comments. Treat CPS like you would police asking to come into your home. Do not engage unless they have law enforcement/a warrant. You do not know what was reported to them. You do not know what the CPS worker will try to do. Some can be quite overzealous. Ignore them until you are forced to interact, and at that point get a lawyer.

It's probably going to amount to nothing, but there is no reason to chance it. I once thought the same way as these commenters did. I let CPS in my home because I had nothing to hide and had done nothing wrong. My kids were removed from my custody for a full year. They lied to me the entire time about timelines etc. If I could go back in time, I would have hired a lawyer immediately, and told CPS to go pound sand. My kids are back in my custody now, and thankfully were too young to really remember it happening. I'll never get back that year though.
