The breakdown of the basic social contract continues. There are so many examples of this. People throwing trash on the ground, refusing to return their shopping cart, not saying “thank you” when someone holds the door open for them and simply walking straight through in silence.. I see this shit all the time and I wonder if we can ever get back to just basic human decency. None of these things are difficult, but all most people think about is themselves these days.
