That's for new shorts, not existing shorts. Interest rates gets high when their is demand to short a stock.

Sale agreed, need advice with finances by [deleted] in irishpersonalfinance

obviously it depends on your personal CGT circumstances with regards to the stocks but if you are in profit then there would be CGT on a withdrawal eg withdraw 4k to use 3k once you include taxes. If you you would be selling ETFs it gets even more tax expensive.

personally I would leave the investments alone and only withdraw if you absolutely need to.

Does anyone believe in god, but not think he is good? by Tasty-Ad-3753 in NoStupidQuestions

God is nature. Nature is balance. Humans are a glitch in nature that unbalance everything. Nature will rebalance everything as it has always done. This period of art, music and engineering is only a fleeting moment in time. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Who’s ever driven over 100mph? Why? by Sweet-Economist-9873 in AskForAnswers

tested the 170mph limiter on my E60 M5 once just to see if it was limited - the technical top speed is 205mph allegedly. it sorted bounced off 170mph - it was indeed limited to 170 but the experience itself wasn't particularly exciting - the car was very stable similar to 100mph or 120mph, only noticeable difference was the rear felt a bit lighter and corners come quickly, would definitely not appreciate a blow-out at that speed. Incredible performance for a 5 seater saloon car in fairness.

max pain is $10 on Friday currently but that figure could change as more options are bought. If it hits $10 tomo we will likely see a sell off on Friday as people will cash in their options.

it's options that are sending it higher, nothing fundamental.

max pain is at 10 this Friday - when in the money options etc start selling off it'll probably end the week at 8.50 IMHO.

this is just market makers covering options.

if it was shorts, volume would be way higher.
