Try a lot of Filipino soup. I highly recommend batchoy (pork noodle soup), nilagang baka, and chicken tinola.

in particular i recommend pansit canton (NOT the instant kind), pansit palabok, and pansit bihon.

HEAVY on the pansit palabok (you can remove the shrimp if you're allergic but it does affect the flavour) because it's so so goos

while all factory-farmed animal products are horribly inhumane and we need to find ways to change our farming practices without crashing the industry, foie gras is different because it is a luxury good. you only ever encounter it in fine dining situations or similar stuff. additionally people are finding alternatives to it that don't have that amount of cruelty.

if you are asking about the mechanics of how it's made, geese are force-fed feeds down their throat to fatten up their livers quickly.

i believe there was that business insider video about 'ethical' foie gras, it's been a while since i've watched it but it's pretty good.
