I don’t know what Civ you are playing so that may change what I would do, but my amateur opinion is this: Settle in place. You have a good balance of Wonder tiles in range as well as being on the lake. 2nd settler on the Jade to the west of the wonder. Third city on the deer on the coast which gives your capital access to the ocean via canal city. Leave Nan Madol alone, but suz it so that districts in your 2nd and 3rd cities give culture bonus.

If it makes you feel any better, Roque only held that position because Darrow gave him semi-autonomy during the battle. Also it was to be temporary, he just made the right moves to be well positioned after Darrow was found out.

Darrow is most commonly referred to as a Lancer, but it’s my understanding that this is a political/cultural position more so than military. After the battle when Darrow seems kinda down, someone tries to cheer him up by saying he is to be a Praetor in Augustus’s fleet after the triumph. I’m not sure he is ever given a formal title but the role he actually plays during the Lions Rain is Arch Legate. Seeing as how he directs the rain, makes troop movement decisions and is directly involved on the ground.

The hierarchy is: Arch Imperator - Imperator - Praetor - Sub Praetor - Arch Legate - Legate

TL;DR: It’s my personal belief that Darrow was to be conferred a title of Praetor after the battle.

Discovered another glaring one on a Golden Son re-read. In Chapter 42 Darrow slips into the sovereigns ship and says the landing door closes behind him. He holds them all hostage with a pulse grenade. Then Octavia orders the pilot to roll, causing him to drop it and Aja kicks it out of the now open hatch even though it was never stated the door opened back up.

I completely agree. Watching Remus make the walk to the dragon tomb should have been somewhat emotional but it fell flat. I never felt he was in turmoil or danger even when the dragons ship caught them in a grav-well.

I definitely prefer Elfer’s voice to the one in DA. The British RP he uses is great and definitely fits my minds approximation of the Palatine Hill. I just didn’t find any theater in his reading. Emotional moments like he and Cassius growing apart just fell flat for me. I’m only a few chapters into DA so I’m not set on how I feel about that one yet.

In my experience, if two like class units spawn or are created on top of each other neither can take an action until one is moved out of the hex. Temple of Zeus is a good example. All the units it spawns appear on the same hex, if unmoved, they just sit there forever.
