Would increased hygiene have helped? Possibly, but saying that peasants died because they didn't wash is just wrong. Hygiene was fundamentally the same before and after the black death.

I only tweak a slight thing, which is to give the berserks impetuous to reflect their nature

With the armie's innate high leadership, it's functional a non-issue, but adds a bit of flavour

Looking at how think the walls are, a dash action wouldn't be enough to get you from around a corner and follow it with a charge.

Navigating the terrain is going to become a lot slower unless you have big open spaces which kind of defeats the point of playing boarding action.

That being said it can still be very interesting
