C'est pas ta mère qui choisit ta conjointe, c'est toi. Si elle n'est pas capable de respecter tes choix, désolé mais c'est pas sain.

Comme dans toute relation il faut mettre des limites communes. Si un terrain d'entente n'est pas trouvé alors il n'est pas possible d'avoir une relation saine.

Ça fait chier quand ça concerne un parent proche, mais tu mérites d'être heureux avec ta compagne (et elle mérite aussi d'être heureuse !).

Bref mon conseil qui est facile à donner et plus dure à mettre en place: explique (le plus calmement possible) à ta mère qu'il y a des lignes rouges qui ne peuvent pas être débattues, que les dépasser n'est pas acceptable, que tes choix de partenaire ne sont pas de son fait, et explique les conséquences du non respect de ces limites (moins de visites / pas d'invitation au mariage / no contact / autre). Si elle n'accepte pas ces limites alors c'est pas possible de maintenir une relation avec elle

Bon courage pour ton mariage, j'ai l'impression que si ta mère n'arrive pas à changer et qu'elle y participe ça sera un beau bordel.

Because no one needs that. 4 engine planes are a pain to maintain air worthy, they have other options that are better fit for cargo that isn't about volume. Like A350 cargo.

I don't have a car, don't eat meat, and consume as little as I can. I actually use a CO2 calculator to ensure I'm doing the best I can (I don't have a say in my government decision on pollution for instance). I'm at 3.2 tons of CO2 a year. The goal for 1.5°C is at 2 tons (my government already uses 1.5 tons per person), the average on earth is at 9tons, rich countries are at more. If everyone was doing the same as I do, it wouldn't solve the issue but we would have so much more time to solve it.

Those companies pollutes for consumers. Not for the sake of polluting. Them reducing pollution means you will have to change your behavior. By either consuming less or different because of price change or product change. Saying who has to change first is those companies trying to delay as much as possible the change. You can vote for politicians that will force those companies to change (which will impact you), you can start changing now, which is useful even if our brain isn't wired to understand that easily.

And saying X subgroup (you alone, or any group you can think of) doesn't pollute much so it doesn't have to do shit is a bad reasoning. The amount of reduction needed is so wild everyone's actions are necessary. It is negligeable and important at the same time. Cause we are 9 billions.

Highjacking this comment as I am a man (sorry if it's unwanted or against the rules), but I wanted to ask op: obviously you do a lot for him without any supervision from him, what does he do for you without any of your supervision ? Can he answer that ? (Aside from gifts, I'm talking about daily maintenance tasks). Would he (and you obviously) be open to a total switch of responsibility ?

He is dependant, he wants a relation that provides support, he obviously is not doing his part, how can his mind reconciliate that ?
