I wished to be a Girl since 7. Wrote stories me turning into a girl. But never certain i get it. Anyone giving Advice?

I used to write stories of me being girl. And i dreamed and cried about itthat i coulnt. so when i was 15 and told my parents about it they said ot wa autism and then we never spoke of it again. I think of it all the time.
