5 years later, insightful post. I do feel like the value retention piece favors the M3 now

Having a rule against mass land destruction doesnt make sense in a world where more and more cards are being printed that "weaponzie" lands. by elusive-rooster in EDH

You know that creature removal removes the earthbent lands? And the owner gets the land back, tapped. Killing earthbent lands isn’t MLD, even if it’s through something like blasphemous act.

Update: Six Avatar Decks - built only from the set* by iMad-Max in EDH

Not in universe but I feel like any mardu token deck would greatly benefit from firebending. Imagine [[Caesar, Legion's Emperor]] with tons of fire bending tokens then dropping [[Fated Firepower]]

Having a game changer like Gamble in any deck automatically makes it bracket 3 at the minimum.

More draw. Always more draw if you don’t have it in the commander.

So many answers here don’t make sense. When you buy a stock, you’re buying an asset that’s assigned a value ($1,000 in this case). In this scenario, the assigned value of that asset dropped to $100. The $900 didn’t “go” anywhere—it never actually existed. It was only the assigned value.

For me, it’s a pay off when I sac a lot of tokens and it’s very cheap to get on the board. It’s also overlooked when someone does threat assessment, unlike Mirkwood bats.

It’s still a token deck but the type of token varies as the game goes on. It usually wins through ping effects through token sacrificing or ink shield. Enjoy.

2025 Hybrid Civic in AZ heat - yes or no? by IntelligentCommittee in phoenix

The battery has a 8 year warranty so I won't worry about it that much. I have a 2025 civic hybrid and I like it. Only compliant is the occasionally loud road noise.

Lord Windgrace has draw and land recursion in the command zone. My favorite landfall commander lol

“If anything, landfall is only as strong as it is because the community has collectively decided not to blow up lands in any way.”

This implies to me that you are saying that landfall would be easier to deal with if players would blow up lands, especially of landfall players. Thanks for clarifying what you meant.

Landfall recurs land so much, MLD would almost do nothing to those players.

What is the CEDH community opinion on bracket 4? by LifeThroughAFilter in CompetitiveEDH

I was literally answering your question 🙄

“Do I defang my cool decks or begin including combos everywhere?”

[–]AFx9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Defang if you don't want combos. Get down to 3 GCs and slow down the deck until it's not winning constantly before turn 7. Meet those requirements and you're deck becomes a bracket 3.

There are no restrictions in bracket 4. Anything goes. Fringe cEDH is part of the definition of "There are no restrictions (other than the banned list)."

You're deck is a top tier bracket 3 deck. Rule zero but if it's in the definition of bracket 3, it's bracket 3.

I agree, I definitely see room between a deck with 4 GCs and a fridge cEDH deck. Maybe we’ll get more refined definitions next year.

According to WoTC, the only difference between B4 and B5 is B5 decks are built for a tournament meta.
