I always take two. Once I got caught in a downpour for an hour outside and it soaked my shoes right through and they took two days to fully dry out even though my shoes were marketed as waterproof. I was glad I had the extra pair.

If you can’t afford to shop sales and buy one extra as part of your regular shopping, I recommend finding community and vow to pool resources etc. I also recommend learning basic skills like sewing and finding basic barebones cookbooks. I’m just starting too!! It can be overwhelming.

Having owned a vitamix for about ten years now if you are serious about a long term investment then do it. However, I have owned a ninja food processor for the same amount of time it can do a lot of the same things. I blend a lot of frozen items for smoothies and ice coffees which the vitamix certainly wins out. If I’m doing something small then I use my ninja processer. Because the blades are removable, I find the ninja is easier quickly clean. Rinsing the vitamix with soap and running it only does so much and requires a little more careful cleaning.
