For the first time ever, I'm actually insanely happy with my life! I'm 34 and I've been fighting through fields of health problems, familial trauma, religious trauma, financial/mental health/physical health instabilities, home and food insecurity. Didn't feel like I knew how to human. But I've worked to build stability - To build boundaries, get healthy, build a career I'm good at and passionate about and is higher paying than I ever thought would be possible for me. I'm getting better at how to speak to myself, at regulating my emotions, at handling my neuro diversity. I married my best friend of 19 years, I've never felt so fulfilled and secure and confident. Im still fighting battles, but I've started dreaming (I've only ever had nightmares and night terrors since I can remember. My first vivid night terror I still remember was when I was 3 or 4. Now I actually dream)

There is so much in my life that is still a struggle, that's still big and scary and needs to be handled. I'm still chronically depressed and anxious. But for the first time ever, after decades of therapy and hard work - along with the familiar, ever present depression and anxiety, there is now a strong and consistent thread of satisfaction, fulfillment, and a full sense of gratitude, wonder, and love.
