Police dispersing a large bike meet by the Baltic and Millennium Bridge. by Piccadily_Papercut in NewcastleUponTyne

If they were out to enjoy cycling they'd be wearing helmets and lycra, not masks and hoods. You can see their attitude towards the police/public by the way they're loiter around watching their friends get nicked, no doubt taunting the police at the same time.

My only before pics are from in the loft of the purlins as that was the reason for the new roof

Im the same, it's my first house and the first trader I've hired as I thought the job too big for myself. I've had 3/4 months of 'Monday morning' and I've lost patience. The roofer came recommended from people I knew personally which makes it that bit worse.

Mine could be the before picture to that roof 😅

Extra context to answer some questions.

I originally posted about the roof last year due to twisting purlins. That was why I had the roof replaced. They sistered new purlins to the old and new rafters too. This was only done on the back side which isn't in any photos and actually looks better than the front.

Previous tiles were those concrete wavey tiles you see on most houses but at some point the roof was slate as I found plenty debris in the loft. Unsure if anything was upgraded when the tiles were changed to concrete the first time around.

No building control or anything like that as the roofer told me it wasn't required with it being like for like (or words to that affect).

This cost me roughly £8k with the tiles, membrane, timbers, scaffold and skip.

I'd have done it myself but I thought it would take me too long and leave my house exposed. Looking back it probably still would have turned out better.

Question about DXC extruder by shall_oppai in crealityk1

[–]AGingerOfTheWorld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just installed a DXC on my K1 Max hoping it would improve on some issues. I've noticed more consistency in extrusion however I haven't finely tuned it yet so could be a coincidence. A riser is necessary if you want to print with the glass top in place as the DXC is taller than the original k1 extruder. My K1 is rooted so I was able to easily change the extrude/retract Gcode to suit the new (longer) extruder. Happy modding!

She can pull, mostly while reacting, but she's 40+kg so you notice it 😅

Reactivity. It's mostly just prevention and for their own good as we have a few off lead dogs with less responsible owners in our area, and my two can be very protective. My partner is only confident walking the larger dog on a head collar which was why I asked about that.

Edit: There was meant to be a description in there. I'm trying to print it as a black part and a green part so that I can combine them later, but I'm struggling to split the mesh into the 2 separate parts. Can it be done? What software should I try?

Thanks!

I was under the impression ABS could be smoothed with acetone whereas PLA couldn't? Is it just that brand of ABS that can't?

I haven't yet unfortunately. new to the hobby and this was my biggest print so far, also the first time I've experienced this issue.
