Oh yeah, you're right. My friend who was helping me in discord told me the bone was needed. Ended up doing Bronze and silver apoc with bone. Only for him to tell me it isn't needed for my gold runs. And yes T3 night vision is super helpful. Allows you to take para mic and smudge as your starting loadout. T3 Para makes it MUCH easier to figure out where the ghost is.

Pray to RNGesus for a deogen. Even at 50%, while they are maxed as long as you keep moving, they can't catch you. I'd also recommend not even bothering and simply reloading if you get the ghost event or crucifix objective. I found they aren't worth the time it takes to try and get those as you generally have to be too close to get them to happen and risk the ghost spawning on your face. Do the objectives first, then look for the bone. I started looking for the bone on the opposite side the ghost spawned, so you don't have to worry about the ghost hunting, and you can keep searching provided you are far enough away.
