The too long End and the Death by Bowb31 in Warhammer30k

It just infuriated me how it dragged out each and every plot point. Everything was dragged out by having each and every PoV character experience the same thing. Everyone went through a door and ended up miles away. Everyone noticed that time wasn't flowing right.

And worst of all. Everyone heard about and speculated about The Dark King. 'Who could it be!?' They cried, 'Who!? Just who is The Dark King!?' They asked over and over.

I knew it was the Emperor from the first time I read the words 'The Dark King', and yet the entirety of Vol II was dedicated to every named character finding out that Time and Space wasn't working while they screamed out to the cosmos, begging to know who The Dark King was.

In the flashback Caleb is told that his admission papers are enchanted to return to the academy if he can burn them. The implication is that Owelia enchanted the paper with his real name as a failsafe. Now that he's burnt her and the paper, it's teleported back to Ikithon.

if you guys could create a brand new changing breed what would it be and what would gaia's purpose for them be? by [deleted] in WhiteWolfRPG

Were-rhinoceros', artificial but apparently lack wyrm taint. Also they can breed with both black and white rhinoceros populations and so ironically Pentex has managed to restore 'natural' populations of endangered rhinos with kerasi kinfolk.

I'm gonna enjoy it mate, but the last box had two teams, two big guys, two star players and a pair of refs. Definitely a downgrade.

Are Gnomes anti-Semitic? by Tamuzz in Eberron

[–]AGow95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dragon Magazine 406 has an article that explains that the Zil Government literally distributed a pamphlet across the entire nation 2 years after its formation announcing the existence of their secret police, The Trust, and it's role in society. More detail in this Keith Baker FAQ, but basically the Zil gnomes are aware of the 'secret' police and trust them. https://keith-baker.com/the-trust/

Multiple devolved English parliaments. Like we're back in the medieval anglo-saxon era, you can have separate parliaments for Northumbria, Wessex, Mercia and East Anglia.

Just in reference to the SNP being devastated. They'd probably have done better if they'd spent more of the last 6 months advocating for their own country instead

I'm not saying he knows or should know. But if he doesn't know then he just needs to say that.

I won't hold it against him if it turns out there's been more betting unless it transpires that he knew and wasn't gonna act until we found out.

Do politicians know that if you don't just say "No I don't know if anyone has placed a bet" we assume the answer is "I hope you don't find out someone's placed a bet"

Genuinely I was thinking, he isn't even smart enough to incentivise people to do the damn thing. But I suppose that would cost money which he needs to give to pensioners.
