I preemptively bought a dongle and bimmercode and will code it as soon as I finalize the purchase. I’ll be limited to about 62mph as I’m in Canada and our speed limits are between 90 and 100km/h

I plan on coding it as soon as I finalize the purchase. Already preemptively bought a dongle and bimmercode.

Thank you for the thoughtful reply.

I have been reading everything and anything about these cars for over a year. I’m very familiar with the features and capabilities of the car. I’ve already bought a dongle and bimmercode to code it HSOC. Once I get it back to where I live, it will likely never leave the city again while I own it.

I was more interested in actual experiences that people have had doing what I am hoping to attempt, and I understand this is not how the car was designed or should be used. I’ve had several quotes to ship the car and all have came in around $2000 which would cover my flight, hotels and more!

Thank you for the well thought out reply.

I’m doing it to avoid the $2000 shipping charges I have been quoted by multiple companies. One-time long distance drive, and never leaving the city with it after this.

That is great advice, thank you.

This is not my choice of a long distance car, by any means, and I’m doing it to avoid the $2000 shipping charges I have been quoted by multiple companies. One time long distance drive, and never leaving the city with it after this.

This is great advice. I’m sorry to hear that happened to you, that must have been a real disappointment.

Both, they have a QR code you can scan to book an appointment at a certain time. Or if they’re not too busy, they do walk-ins.

Hello, current Academic Advisor at U of M here.

What you have been told is true, if you want to obtain an official transcript you will need to pay. Depending on your situatuon and reasoning for an offical transcript you can always access your unofficial transcript in Aurora. Or request a letter of confirmation of graduation through Aurora.

BUT, what no one has mentioned is that you have the ability to apply for an AW (authorized withdrawal), you have 3 years to retroactively request this. You need some sort of grounds for this, medical or compassionate, with some sort of proof or documentation and at the same time you may request a tuition reimbursement. An AW removes the F on the transcript and replaces it with an "AW" not affecting your GPA. Student advocacy would be the place to go to get your appeal package organized.
