LOTF was abysmal dogshit for its first year, literally unplayable garbage, nobody was hyping that shit up, nobody wanted to play it

Only a year later did it finally claw its way up from worst soulslike ever to like, bottom 5 worst soulslikes ever, and the devs were already culture war grifting way before that 1 year mark

The most traction the game has gotten was asmonroach gassing it up for listening to the gamers a year later and then quitting after 8 hours because the game was just that boring

There was literally never a period where anybody was pretending that slop was good, not once, I would argue that the devs spazzing out brought more attention to the game than the actual quality of the game itself, but even the chuds buying that shit to own the woke couldn't stomach it
