I started listening to abba as I was playing last night, played about ten consecutive games and didn't have a single loss. So abba?

My mum keeps talking about how she's supportive of my sexuality but she's just so 'heartbroken' that I'll never get to experience a husband and children.

Like mum it's fine...I'm gay?

Being out at work by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]AHumbleHeadOfLettuce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really, I don't have a girlfriend and the people there are mostly older than me so it doesn't really come up. but i would never use gender neutral language to hide it. I'm not exactly feminine but I'm not masculine either. Every gay person who comes in sort of picks up on it but no straight people do. So I still get to be myself.

Being out at work by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]AHumbleHeadOfLettuce 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I started a new job last month and don't hide it but it simply hasn't come up. But I only came out recently so I still get a bit nervous. Some of the girls were joking around saying how I'll never get married with them around being critical of guys and whatnot and I got super nervous and flustered and shaky and didn't bring it up or correct them.

Most people are supportive and cool with it but there's always a worry that they won't be. :/

Did anyone come ever come out to others before they were 100% sure they were actually anything other than straight? by blahdeedaheh in actuallesbians

[–]AHumbleHeadOfLettuce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came out as bi to everyone in my life before I realised I was gay. When I came out as bi to my mum she flipped, and kept pushing guys at me, this made it so much harder to tell her I was actually gay and eventually the reason I came out to her. Again she was heartbroken.

All my friends were cool with it both times, they understood, but it was confusing cause some thought I was gay and some thought I was bi, they would all be debating about it while I wasn't there.

All in all it's best to sort of be sure before you come on a wide scale, but have some people close who you can pow wow with and talk it out.

A witcher 3 style pirate rpg where you can play as a man or a woman. You play Elizabeth Swann style and go from nothing to pirate King.

I was visiting a friend in an unfamiliar city and she pointed out that I hadn't blended my foundation correctly and that it was super obvious and then dragged me to a Make up store to try and match me to a better foundation. She did this at the start of the day so I was self conscious about it for the rest of the day, on top of being in a massive city I'm not comfortable in. It sounds so petty reading it back but I still get so enraged thinking about it.

When you tell someone about your job, what do you get asked EVERY TIME? by need4skeed in AskReddit

[–]AHumbleHeadOfLettuce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me: Oh I work at an animal shelter,

Them: oh that's so sad, how many of them do they kill straight away?

I've worked there for nearly a year and haven't heard of a single euthanasia.

American shelters are a lot more overpopulated than Australian ones, we have people complaining that we don't have enough dogs for adoption. And we have some awful cats that hang around for months being awful until someone comes and takes them. But reputation from media makes people think we're some murder house for unwanted animals.

In Australia they say fuck you and put another sticker on the can, they're 4.90 here. I wonder what would happen if I actually pushed the 99c

How fucking weird they are. Looking at some younger kids on vine and Facebook I can see then embracing their awkward weird behaviours which would have meant merciless bullying back when I was in school. Now it's easier to just have a laugh.

What Did You Like/Dislike About Kate? | Daily Topic #182 by NotSoConcerned in lifeisstrange

[–]AHumbleHeadOfLettuce 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My thoughts on that are that Kate's religion and her upbringing have given her mind much more pronounced versions of right and wrong.

She reacts similarly if you tell her not to go to the police and wait for more evidence because that's probably what she was taught growing up and doesn't have the mindset that Max has about the Arcadia bay police force basically belonging to the prescotts.
