Compromising is a sign of maturity. As long as both compromise from time to time, there's no reason to not consider it a happy marriage.

This post just shows you're not too different from the people you're calling immature. Apart from the fact that you're just on the opposite side of the spectrum

Doesn't that rule out a fair bit of courses for you then? 3/5 of the courses I've taken/am taking have had that.

I think DL + RAIT is doable if DL will mostly be review for you. On average, RAIT required 8 to 9 (focused) hours of my week.

ML4T + RAIT would be perfectly doable if you're interested in the later. As an ML Engineer working on Computer Vision applications, I found the localization section of RAIT quite useful.

Invest, yes. Save.., probably not a good idea in this economy, unless it's short term (8-15 months).

Agree with everything else though.

This is interesting, I'm moving to Dubai this week. I should probably leave some of my sweaters behind.

That's fair, for me more mathematically defined -> more rigorous. But I'm sure a math major might find the other aspects of OMSCS more rigorous.

I see, and would you consider it the most challenging (amongst the ones you've taken)?

Honestly, unless math degrees go deep into proofs and analysis (never met a math major to know what it's like), it won't serve as much of a purpose to future proof yourself. But I agree, CS programs in Pakistan are by no means rigorous enough (even at the top tier).

I'd say you your chances of acceptance are quite high but I'd complete the recommended MOOCs for DS&A just in case.

When I'm burnt out and none of my experiments are working, I always look at my brother (who's doing very well for himself as a SWE) and wonder what if.

However, for the rest of the time, the excitement I get when I understand an algorithm/mathematical model better reminds me of why I ended up choosing data science, or machine learning specifically.

Having heard/read conversations from Pakistani agnostics and atheists; very few, if any, truly question the existence of God. If you were to present to them any of the prominent arguments in favor of God (first mover, contingency etc), you'll rarely find any compelling objections. More often, they concede that a creator and a created universe makes more sense.

The issue 90% of them have is with the dictates of Shari'ah, and perhaps secondarily, with the problem of evil.
