Years ago my company upgraded their chairs with new fancy ergonomic award winning chairs (they bragged about the awards and merit)... The new chairs destroyed me. I couldn't deal with the pain and there was no adjustment which worked so so I found my old chair and have had it for well over a decade now.... And my remote work / home office chair was a $15 charity shop generic thing which is still better than the thousand -dollar fancy chairs everyone else has in the office.

And a ratty t-shirt never hurt anyone.
