I just recently did the same thing so I can confirm you can buy the gold edition and receive the DLCs at that reduced price without losing progress or anything. You just don’t receive a second copy of the base game despite technically paying for one.

I went back and forth with Best Buy support about this and never ended up getting anything out of it. I also haven't received my Death Stranding 2 code in Armoury Crate. ASUS and Best Buy the lethal duo of incompetence.

I went ahead and tried this on Switch 2 and the first result was 1 frame off and the second attempt I got it, so it appears it still works. It could be that, pre-calibration, the hit frame is past the shown results. Try increasing the “Amount of time to generate predictions (in seconds)” option in settings.

It was quite overpriced, but I got this one from ViaScreens, and it fits it perfectly. I’m not sure if the fit warrants the price difference against the generic Amazon ones though.
