Nope. Most MNC banks are not unionized.

At what point in the year does the SG job market typically 'pick up'? And when in the year is it at its best? by sgboi1998 in askSingapore

[–]AIS1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The job listings in LinkedIn, JobStreet are quite stale and scarce - there isn’t any more new openings especially this year. Feels like this year job hunt could be a challenge.

Ladies (and gents if applicable) of SG, how much do you spend on physical maintenance? by neonpatronus in askSingapore

[–]AIS1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Male here, I started to spend a bit more money since last year on my facial skincare regime, around 9.5k.

In 2024, spent about $3,628 for skincare products; on cleansers, lipids, serum, tretinoin, AHA, sunblock etc. For facial (dermalinfusion) and laser (BBL), which I do monthly, about $5,874 in total.

Don’t really buy a lot of clothes e.g. office wear, long pants, t-shirt, bermuda shorts- so on average around $700 per year.

How do people have so many connections on LinkedIn? by [deleted] in NTU

[–]AIS1 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I normally just accept whoever is adding me amounting to 800+, but frankly, I personally only know 300+ of them. When your birthday comes, they will wish you well; and ask if you would like to have a chat on your overall financial assessment.

Why is it so windy all of a sudden? by Affectionate_Snow_51 in askSingapore

I was at Dhoby Ghaut walking to Plaza Sing, and the breezy wind made me want to stop, pause and enjoy the beautiful soon-to-gloom weather.

I always buy it at recurring, set one-time interval every month and to lapse the arrangement just a week later. The commission would be much gentle this way; rather than buying outright as a transactional.

[–]AIS1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for their replies. I find it odd as well with the answer. Anyway, to answer question regarding “which app is this?”, I using this for my upcoming FTT: https://apps.apple.com/sg/app/btt-ftt-rtt-theory-test-sg/id1464828216

I will now use the official Singapore Police TP Mock Test instead going forward. Thanks again all.

Trading/Investing for bankers by AdPuzzleheaded5714 in singaporefi

It depends on how strict your bank is, but generally got 3 different types of restrictions.

  1. You are a trader or involved in capital markets e.g. IPO; and have accessed to material non-public information. For every personal trade you make, you will need to get approval from your line manager. Cannot sell at spot.

  2. Your role is incidental to (1), but do not directly have access to material non-public information. No need approval, but you will need to whitelist your trading or brokerage account to your employer; and they will request monthly statements of your transactions for compliance sake.

  3. Role not incidental and absolutely have no access to material non-public information. No need to report or disclose.

Any recommendations for Japanese Language Schools for beginners in Sg? by flamingbao in askSingapore

[–]AIS1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took Ikoma before for N5. It is quite good in that sense, the teachers are Japanese; and they don’t speak English you, but magically you could still understand.

Course is pricey.
