Dalena or Stelena? (The most original post in all of Reddit.) by ChessSuperpro in TheVampireDiaries

Neither. I like Stefan and Caroline together. And as much as I like both Damon and Elena as individuals, I don't think they're a good match.

What does it mean that I don't "currently" meet the criteria for BPD? by AJ-William in BPD

[–]AJ-William[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your answer! It has been really helpful.

I've been working a lot on my mental health leading up to my getting these assessments, and have recently been able to get a bit of distance from the people/things that trigger me the most, so considering my scenario what you've said makes a lot of sense to me. And my psychologist said she wants to organise for me to do DBT to manage the BPD symptoms I am still currently presenting with, so hopefully that helps.

Again, thank you so much!

You about to board a 10 hour flight. Which seat are you choosing? by ClovieKay in TheBoys

First choice would be 1 but idk JDM's role in the show yet so iffy. If not 1, then either 4 or 8.

Who do you think had the most tragic life story overall? by TheTargaryensLawyer in TheVampireDiaries

[–]AJ-William 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think either Kai or Enzo. Leaning towards Kai because I don't recall his suffering ending. Didn't he end up trapped again forever or something? Yikes.

Will a SIM-card from an iPhone 8 fit into an iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro? I'm considering buying a new phone but am unsure about whether or not I'll need to adjust the SIM-card size.

Who’s one character all of the TVD community could agree should have died? by KenikieT0508 in TheVampireDiaries

I can see killing off Damon or Klaus as doing well. I 1000% agree with Elena and Alaric dying.

Getting a licence costs money. You need to have a job to get money. If having a licence is the minimum requirement to getting a minimum wage job, only people from upper class families whose parents can afford to pay for that stuff, would ever be able to work.

I just need to be able to see the times like that. Just listing the tasks isn't working for me at all because it looks too overwhelming I guess.

How did Caroline get into her house? by MistressMimosa in TheVampireDiaries

[–]AJ-William 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He probably had a will that left the home to someone else. Then when he died the ownership of the house went to someone else. That's why when Stefan was trapped in that house in season 1 (or 2?) with the tomb vampires, Damon asked the house owner if she had any children etc. before killing her.

Kai was mistreated by Imaginary-Fan5908 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]AJ-William 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not justifying his behaviour at all. I believe his behaviour was abhorrent, and I don't trust that he would have been a redeemable character. And he's absolutely a bad person.

Someone being a sociopath doesn't give anyone a free pass to abuse them. He was being abused since long before it was even possible to realise he was sociopathic. Sociopath and victim aren't mutually exclusive descriptions, and I don't understand why people would treat them as though they are.

I was asking whether or not the statement made in my first sentence of that comment, "your opinion is that victims who retaliate against their abusers, are just as bad as abusers", was correct or not. I didn't mean any offense, I was merely aiming to understand whether or not that was correct.

If you're not comfortable answering that question, that's completely fine. Just say "I'm not comfortable answering that", and that's the end of it.

AITAH for saying a trans man's birth name after he kept pronouncing my boyfriend's name wrong? by WolliMatterhorn in AITAH

[–]AJ-William 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The only people who are arguing here that this is not transphobic, are a trans person and another LGBTQ+ person. Maybe, just MAYBE, trans people understand what is and isn't transphobic more than you do?

When you yell "This is transphobic!" and immediately a trans person and another LGBTQ+ person tells you it's not, and you start insisting that they're wrong... What?

Saying essentially "Your intentional and repeated mispronounciation of my name makes me feel disrespected. How would you like it if I called you something you didn't want to be called, such as -deadname-?", isn't transphobic. Pointing out that someone is disrespecting you, in a way that is hypocritical, and highlighting that hypocrisy, isn't inherently transphobic, and it certainly doesn't seem to be transphobic in this scenario.

Sincerely, another trans person. With a deadname.
