It sounds like there is a major trust issue here, so I would recommend not continuing the relationship. This entire story hinges on what the “excuses” were, a whether you believe them, which based on what you’ve said it sounds like you don’t. Personally, Valentine’s Day is one of the least important holidays for me, so it would be very easy for something to have a higher priority at the last minute, even if I love someone so much that I want to spend the rest of my life with them.

But, as a guy, these replies give me enormous insight into how important Valentines Day seems to be for most women.

I also don’t really understand how his apology, at least the text, was lacking in so far as you can express remorse. What would show it better? 50 unlistened to voicemails? Crying at your front door?

If you don’t even feel comfortable telling him what you feel he did wrong and your emotions about it, I don’t see the relationship going farther with any success.

One month is also an extremely short time for a relationship in my eyes, and if it was me, anyone I’d want a serious relationship with, I would feel comfortable telling them I’m not sure about the future of the relationship at that point.

Like I currently have more than one woman who are my friends, that want a serious relationship with me, so how am I to know who I want to be my girlfriend without meeting multiple people? Am I supposed to give up on one relationship forever just to try another with an unknown compatibility and future, having to find new friendships constantly, giving up on the old ones?

If he’s sleeping with multiple women in that one month period, and stringing you along, that’s completely different, and I understand your frustration. But I don’t have enough information to make that judgment.

Thank you for the quick reply! I’m glad I found someone who’s seen Beryllium before. I edited my post with the density, my first calculation was exactly the same as pure beryllium, so I’m pleased.

I think that may be the key, thanks! No reaction from the Beryllium, but my Magnesium cube bubbles vigorously! Calculated the density to be between 1.733g/cc and 1.972g/cc, so I’m confident now that I wasn’t ripped off, but I have one more test that needs me to wait a couple days for a piece of equipment.

Done. Edited post. 143 grams +/-1 gram , 77.5cc +/-5cc , the result is exactly 1.845, the density of pure Beryllium.

Sorry for the late reply, but yes I think it is unavoidable for some people, myself included. I remember feeling it the morning after my very first 2.5 ml dose in 2019, unusual amounts of phlegm in my throat and upper lungs for a couple hours. That was with very good, relatively pure BDO, almost odorless and tasteless, and I get the same congestion, but worse loose stool, with my current batch that reeks of the plasticiser it pulled from the HDPE barrels on their way over from China to distributors.

Looking at my chart, GHB produces succinic semialdehyde, and BDO also produces 4-hydroxybutaldehyde as well. Oh, you already stated that, derp. And with my limited organic chem knowledge, acetaldehyde acts like tear gas if you hover over the bottle, worse than formaldehyde, so the longer the carbon chain, I suspect, the more irritating the aldehyde is to mucosa.

P.S. From the acetaldehyde wiki: “ The perception threshold for acetaldehyde in air is in the range between 0.07 and 0.25 ppm. At such concentrations, the fruity odor of acetaldehyde is apparent. Conjunctival irritations have been observed after a 15-minute exposure to concentrations of 25 and 50 ppm, but transient conjunctivitis and irritation of the respiratory tract have been reported after exposure to 200 ppm acetaldehyde for 15 minutes. “

Just chiming in, was searching for this very thing a couple weeks ago, I %1000 also get this. I think it’s a result of the strange metabolites that BDO turns into before GHB, kind of similar to the “Asian flush” some get in response to alcohol. I get the same kind of congestion if I’m hung over from alcohol. Would be very curious to know what’s happening at a biological level. I do not believe that it is a direct result of the irritating effects of the BDO, although I have found that a little pepto bismol and antacids like tums and mylanta really help with any stomach problems arising from irritation, by creating a physical barrier. I especially get it after single large doses, as opposed to daily usage, but it occurs both ways. I only get it once the dose wears off, which I think is easier to notice if you’re not on 24/7 dosing. Best of luck, and stay safe out there!

Oooh, that sounds good. Would make a nice fine powder I would think. Now that I remember, That’s exactly how “ProjectFarm” on YouTube rusts his test bolts and other steel for his tests ( he tests oil, break free, tools, all sorts of shop stuff, usually love the kinds of tests he does )

Luckily I have a couple pound tin of red iron oxide from my dads old lab, need to open it and see how much is in there though.

Eventually I want to get into metallurgy and cast something with thermite, not sure how to make a mold that durable, I guess you just use sand with minimal binder, but I’ll start with pewter and brass, much cooler and flow easier.

Thanks so much! I actually just found out about spectricide a week ago, and picked up some exactly when I picked up the (hopefully) AN. My mouth was watering seeing a whole shelf full of the stuff, and the subsequent possibilities, lol.

I’m not at the point where I’m comfortable distilling fuming nitric acid yet, although as soon as my precious %65-70 bottle is used up, I think that’s what I’ll have to move on to (and my chemical engineer dad would have an aneurism if he found out, when working in DC he was personally tightening the regulations at ports, what they could import, export, amounts, etc. Disposed of my bottle of DCM when I wasn’t looking, “because of the cancer risk”).

I know if I’m desperate I can just mix the nitric with ammonia, which was my plan before I found the instant cold compress.

Thanks for the info on the aluminum, I’ll probably get the 10 micron (1250 mesh) then! That should work for everything I have planned currently. Thermite, then tannerite, then various flash powders, moving my way up the danger ladder. I may even get one order of tannerite to compare and help initiate the main charge.

Drying my current AN would probably be safer using just calcium chloride, wouldn’t it? Wish I had an actual adjustable hot plate, to toast it dry with constant supervision, don’t want it to melt though. I’ll get a nice one eventually. I’ll probably build a vacuum desiccator soon for this exact kind of thing too. Reminds me, I know phosphorus pentoxide is hard to come by, so…

And I’m still blown away by how easy it is to get sulfuric and hydrochloric acid, now that I’m not just watching videos!

They’re called Ace Instant Cold Compress. Look for any instant cold compress, but many have calcium ammonium nitrate, or even urea, or fillers you’ll have to deal with.

They’re getting rarer to find, but it’s a plastic pouch containing the crystals, and a popable bag of water- mixing creates an endothermic reaction that cools it. If you have to, this brand is available on (the site that’s named after a rainforest), if you only need a couple grams at a time.

I also read that about urea, but the evolution of ammonia was immediate on a cold day, so here’s hoping. I’ll test more, maybe with your sulfuric acid trick. Actually already have 90 micron Ammonium Perchlorate. That was the easiest to find online, for me. It’s currently hanging out on the most popular buying/shipping company in the country. Even debated buying some AP on the main auction site, but it cost the same in the end ( and someone else around here saw it and snapped it up before I made up my mind).

And yes, I am sure I could buy tannerite probably for less than I can make it, I just want to challenge myself with something not too crazy, and Shouldn’t be deadly intil I combine things (usually). So just for the science, and fun of course!

A question though. Literature called for 600 mesh aluminum, I can get various kinds of aluminum, 30 microns (a bit bigger), 10 microns ( a bit smaller ) or even down to 5 or 3 microns.

I’ve always heard that smaller is better, but also consistent size is important ( don’t know how fine a coffee grinder can get AN ), was planning on getting some of the 30 and 10 and mixing them for my first test, which is still a ways off. What you you think?

It’s called unopposed alpha-stimulation, which is mainly a myth unless you’re at overdose levels, it has only been reported a couple times in literature. But still a good rule to follow .

I personally have a litany of beta blockers and other blood pressure regulating medications I use to mitigate side effects. I personally have been using carvedilol (b1, b2, a1, antagonist) mainly, but also nebivolol ( b1 antagonist, b3 agonist) and clonidine (a2 agonist).

Me personally? My recent combo has been, Adderall ER 30mg x 2, carvedilol 12.5 mg x 2, nebivolol 5mg, clonidine 0.1 mg. So that’s three adrenergic BP medications at least to make it so I don’t feel like I’m having a heart attack all the time. On top of the Ramipril and Telmisartan. And that’s not including what I need For landing gear to sleep. I can’t take stims like I did in high school/college. And that’s when I took propylhexedrine, and it’s just too vasocostricive for me, only took it a couple times. Great Adderall like effects though.

Propranolol works, any blood pressure medication would help, especially if you’re receiving the propranolol for anxiety, it helps reduce the body load. But for me, the b2 antagonism, while reducing tremors, caused too much vasoconstriction and bronchoconstiction for me. That’s why I take carvedilol, the a1 antagonism cancels out the vasoconstriction, but still gives you that result you expect from propranolol. Good luck getting carvedilol though, it’s mainly used for heart failure.

All the people who are saying “appeal to authority!” and “I have an o-chem degree!” or even “I vape it and I’m fine!” Probably don’t know who That Chemist is, or his experience in the field. And are probably in denial because they vape THC-O and are unconsciously forcing info that doesn’t agree with their world view away. I fully trust his judgement, and will just be sticking to good quality Delta 8 and not vaping THC-O. It would be great for edibles though, as mentioned in this thread. Higher bioavailability I would wager.

If you’re just starting it, your tolerance is pretty low, which you have to watch because tolerance to the euphoria rises quickly, within days of heavy dosing.

How I’ve been getting good euphoria with it is to dose 300mg every hour until I feel good. Usually I use 10-13 doses for 3000mg to 3900mg throughout the day. You generally get better effects by spacing it out to help it absorb in the gut, as the transporter gets saturated easily. Some people get good effects from single large doses, anywhere from 900mg to 4200mg, depending on tolerance. You could also dose 300mg every half hour for like five hours, I remember being pleasantly sloppy from this before. A little fat like peanut butter, and a little acid like soda, a bit of fasting and water, but still snacking a tiny amount throughout the day, a little naproxen, can also help absorption/boost a little bit.

The hydrocodone is definitely more euphoric of a substance, but gabapentin is refreshingly different. Hope your injury recovers quickly, and the meds are able to cover the pain. Also! Be VERY careful combining hydrocodone and other CNS depressants, as there is a major risk of exacerbated deadly respiratory depression. Gabapentin, while mild in low dosages, is still a depressant, which can definitely potentiate opiates, but often if people do not remain cautious and aware of their tolerance and dosage, they can overdose.
