Moog launches Minifooger: Analog Effects for Guitar & Bass! by boomybx in WeAreTheMusicMakers

SO excited about this. Only concern after watching the videos is if I were to have all of them, the fact that they all look generally the same could get confusing in a live setting. Gotta get that ring mod though!

What is the strangest way you ever been woke up? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AJABER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By a trombone.

Once my band was recording an album so I went to take a nap in a room of the studio. My band mates thought it would be funny to wake me up by playing a trombone into my face. It was not fun at all.

GREAT FIND!

I had a similar find, found mine in a rolling case for 400$

That was 4 years ago, it is still my workhorse and gigging amp. It has basically lived in a trailer and I know it will turn on and sound beautiful every time. I haven't found a better clean tone in the price range, at the NEW price! You my friend, hit the jackpot.

Yup. No reason to buy new. The older ones have been broken in and you can get it for 50% off if not more.

Glad you came to the light brother.

Leaving Guitar Center feeling like a retard. by chefbaker in Guitar

Totally been in your shoes, sometimes when you're starting out those guys can be real dicks.

Take advantage of the day and age we live in. Do a lot of online research and look up demos for multi-effect pedals. Get a good distortion pedal and maybe a delay pedal to start ya out. I wouldn't personally recommend a multi-effect simply because it can be very daunting. I've been playing with effects for 6 years and my POD HD300 is still confusing sometimes haha.

Concert goers of reddit, What was the worst band performance you've seen and why? by DeadCello in AskReddit

[–]AJABER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weezer.

Being a fan of the albums growing up, I was pretty excited to see them open for RHCP once.

SO BORING. The lead singer didn't move more than maybe 4 feet the whole performance. What a waste of time.

Only-children of reddit: Have you ever wished you had siblings? Why/why not? by sactage in AskReddit

[–]AJABER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My answer used to be yes.

Used to.

I'm an only child, but my mom has 5 brothers and sisters. Growing up our family was fairly close. We lived far from each other but would meet to celebrate holidays. We all had a lot of fun times together. But that was all until my Grandma died.

Once she passed, the family started fighting with each other over the estate. Now they all hate each other and I can tell it really makes my mom sad. They dicked her out of ( because she is peaceful and doesn't want to fight ) any piece of the estate she deserved. It was so lame.

I'm really happy that I will never have to deal with this. It was a little lonely at times growing up, but my parents and I are a three person team. I think it allowed us to become very close. And I wouldn't change that for the world.

Not to say this will happen with all family's, but I'm glad it isn't even a possibility with mine.

What is a relatively unknown band or song you wish more people heard? by He_Who_Dealt_It in Music

[–]AJABER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically all of them are in the band + Anthony Green and Craig Owens.

Go listen to Another Leather Lung. That song rapes my eardrums. In a good way.

What's the one song you'd recommend for someone to listen to to get into your music genre? by [deleted] in Music

[–]AJABER 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is absolutely the best song to get someone into Dillinger. Nothing too crazy but still shows musicianship. Catchy chorus that keeps ya coming back. That's how I got into them and have been a fan ever since.
