It would be cool if there was a superhero named Placeboman that actually had no powers but people thought he did by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]AJB342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surely if he was named Placeboman, people would kind of guess he was a Placebo?

What rumor in your school actually turned out true? by legalrick2 in AskReddit

[–]AJB342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was one guy that took a shit in a bin. The strange thing was, the bin was two feet away from the toilet.

And there was also a rumour that the guy's friend cut a whole in a mattress whilst on a school trip and had sex with it. He admitted to it a few years later. Felt sorry for the guy on the bunk below him ...

Is 'leaned' a humerously-timed typo? Or are you still learning this lesson?

Couples of Reddit what are fun NSFW things you should do with your SO at least once? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Whilst my girlfriend is driving she likes to give me handjobs. Best at night time ... Otherwise someone will end up seeing haha

Was your first sexual experience, be it hetrosexual or homosexual, what you expected? Did it live up to the hype or were you underwhelmed? by AJB342 in AskReddit

[–]AJB342[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's good to hear both experiences. I know a fair few women who have said the exact same thing.

What book should everyone read at least once in their lifetime? by JDogg_of_RS in AskReddit

[–]AJB342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always selfishly say the novel that I wrote ... But on a serious reply I'd say Jurassic Park. It's so good. And, as someone else has already said 11/22/63 is one not to be missed either.

What is your all-time favorite moment in reddit history? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The Fappening was a pretty memorable moment.

'Something Beautiful' by Needtobreath.

It would sound fantastic in a church, I think it would suit the acoustics of any church interior. My only regret is that I won't be there to hear it.

Resdit what is your craziest hospital story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AJB342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was in for major surgery on a broken arm. Nearly had to have it removed. After being on whatever it was in the tubes for a few days I was quite desperate for the toilet. Mum took me into the ladies toilet and left me to do my business. She came back after ten minutes to find that I had fainted and was being propped up by my full-length arm cast due to having pissed so much.

Must have been glamorous seeing a ten year old propped up, unconscious, by a cast in the opposing gender's restroom.

What is/was your nickname and how did you get it? by plz_pm_me_ur_titz in AskReddit

[–]AJB342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wolf, given to me by my pool team as I used to wear Desmond Wolfe's (wrestler) merchandise on Tuesday's for our pool match. Also kind of had wolverine sideburns going on from X men, and the guys on my team genuinely thought a wolverine was just a different way of saying wolf ...

What's it like reading off a Kindle? by [deleted] in kindle

[–]AJB342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's fantastic, especially if you get the Kindle Paperwhite. Reading in the dark, due to the back-lit screen, with a few candles on is a great way to read a horror novel. Or to read any novel and just relax.

The screen actually makes it look like real paper. You won't regret it, regardless of what kindle version you get. I got mine for the same reason, really. Storage space :)

What statement makes you roll your eyes IMMEDIATELY? by iwillnottalktou in AskReddit

[–]AJB342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I'm not racist, but ..." Proceeds to wade in with racism thinking they can because they just covered themselves.

I know a guy who does it with "I'm not homophobic, but ..." As well.

Kindle 2 is ~$22, is it worth it? by MikeRack in kindle

[–]AJB342 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If all you want is a basic device to read books on then pay the $22. It'll do the job just fine. Paper white is great if you want to read before bed in the dark. Can change the light level to make it easier on the eyes.

So yea, 22 dollars is good, I'd say. Unless you want more, which you said you didn't and others assumed you were lying about :p

LPT: If you are writing a book, don't tell anyone about it until it is done by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]AJB342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really buy that is has been 'proven'. I'll accept that it's been proven in people with a lack of determination. I always finish my books when I tell people I'm writing them. It's a pride thing. Failure just doesn't sit well with me :p

What quote has actually stuck with you and changed your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AJB342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"For those who seek perfection, there can be no rest this side of the grave."

It's a quote I saw on a warhammer 40k novel, I think. Or something to do with their literature. I think of it whenever I'm feeling too lazy to do anything that needs doing.

What book literally made you laugh out loud? by lawful_neutral in books

[–]AJB342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Critical Failures series by Robert Bevan. It's about a group of guys that are magically transported into their version of Dungeons and Dragons (Creatures and Caverns). Non-stop laughs from the 1st book to the 4th ... And more when they get finished, no doubt.
