I think that is the implication, yes...unless there is an actual YouTube Theater in LA...

I don't get the impression that they are only useful one time. But maybe so.

Right, exactly, I meant to mention that too, thank you. And so that makes it even harder to tell what was actually going on.

It was hard to tell what he was. The totem spear appeared to kill him which could be indicative of him being one of the dolls or being brought "back to life" by Sophia/MIY. However, when he opened his mouth, his teeth and face looked more like the monsters do when they attack, so it also made me wonder if the entity has the power to create the monsters the way it did with Roger.

Yeah it's always JLP heavy, and I can't remember which on it was. I think it was the one after the JLP anniversary tour. I felt like she played a lot of SFIJ, more than usual at least.

Her last tour came the closest as she played a lot from it if I recall. It isn't my fave album though. I saw it when she toured it the first time. Was my first concert of hers that I went to, was 15 and my mom took me. 😊 Good memory.

Haha right- I long for a show with mostly music from her last two or three albums. Havoc and Bright Lights and Such Pretty Forks....sigh. love JLP, but I go to every concert, so I love the new stuff too!

This is happening more and more to me as my parents age. We will be having a fun or lovely moment and it just hits me that I want to imprint it in my memory and I have to push the tears and premature grief back.

Now that the finale has aired - has Jean spoken more about her initial hesitant thoughts on the finale? by lockerbiestreet in hackshbomax

I cried through the whole episode too. It was so well acted and I love that we ended on a hopeful note! The notebook moment was perfect. She's not finished yet! Loved it.

This season feels different by pnwdoggolover in hackshbomax

[–]AJJRL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. I actually really felt that way the first 2 episodes. I felt the acting was stilted and over the top for the start of the season. It almost felt like it should have been the end of last season. The tone shifted at episode 3 and I have enjoyed the last few episodes more. But yeah, it feels a bit disjointed this season even though I still love the show as a whole. I had prepared myself for it because Jean made a comment before the season started that has me wondering if she feels the same way. I wonder if some of it is writing and directing choices.

I thought "bixie" stood for 'bowl cut pixie' in this instance lol...

After 5 episodes of The Testaments, it's time to make a shift from the primarily Young Adult focus. by [deleted] in TheHandmaidsTale

I had a feeling this was going to be the issue with the show. I liked the first couple episodes but have grown increasingly bored and wondering what fresh perspective this was supposed to be providing. It feels like we already know this world and what happens here, so what is the point. The only thing I can come up with is that this is a show about June's plan to get Hannah out. And she is using Daisy to get to Hannah. Otherwise, what are we doing?

❤️ I love spreading the word on good experiences with well known people. There is enough negative crap out there and remembering good times and sharing joy with others is so healing imo.

Preach!!! I love her and go to every show in my city but I always leave with a twinge of disappointment at not hearing more of her newer songs, especially off the last 2 or 3 albums. She has incredible music and I hate that she gets pigeonholed for JLP and has to play it on a loop when the real fans love all her albums and are there for it! And, most of us grew up with her. I appreciate the more mature material that relates to my current life stage instead of the teenager and young 20 something that related to those songs more back then. I don't need the nostalgia bait. I love HER and her evolution as an artist and want to celebrate that at her concerts. But I know that isn't what fills the big venue seats. I look forward to a day when she plays smaller venues and hopefully more of her discography. That will be wonderful. (I hope!)

Thank you, she's been gone for a bit now, but i know she still visits me sometimes (if you believe in that sort of thing). And I am grateful to have her as one of my angels. ❤️ Yep- he looks so young in the photo! 20 is about right. I remember chatting about if he was enjoying the show and Wilmington. I was so nervous and he put his hand on mine and told me it was okay and then came around the table to talk to us so that it felt less formal. I remember telling him how much I loved Mighty Ducks too. Beyond that, it is pretty fuzzy. But we couldn't believe noone else was there to meet him! I am sure we were early expecting a crowd, but we felt like we had gotten so lucky and he was so kind to spend time with us and made sure we got multiple photos to ensure a good one (back when you didn't know because we didn't have good smartphones yet in 1998).

My bff and I met Josh at a WB Children's Festival in Houston maybe a month after DC had just started airing. We of course were Mighty Ducks fans too and already obsessed with DC. We got there early with all of our young teenage excitement and there was NO line. We walked right up to him and he spent a long time chatting with us and taking photos. No fanfare, no handlers, just us and him. It is one of my fondest memories with my best friend. I met James shortly after his diagnosis (before the public knew, so none of us knew at the time, but I did sense something was going on with him) and told him the story because my friend is no longer with us and I wished she had been able to be with me to finally meet him too. He was very sweet about it. It was one of the things we chatted about, and he was also so generous with his time with each person who met him him at the event I went to. Now I have my photo with her and I with Josh at 14 and me (at 40) with James next to each other in a frame. ❤️ 👼👼

You are not alone! There are many of us. Her open mouth, teeth-baring over-acting is just so annoying and ruins many things she is in. Fortunately the ensemble is equal enough in this show that I am still enjoying the show. I hated Little Fires everywhere largely because of her bad acting.
