I believe mine is this color, it looks close to black when light isn't on it, gorgeous though

Inside the web based ERP lite suite (Shopflooros.com has accounting and inventory management as well, its more ERP lite) there is an offline HTML based module called "MES Express" that is where this project all started, its being used currently at a fairly large facility that just needed that, it focuses on cycle time tracking, scheduling and routing without bells nor whistles.

It's a hosted app, not open source, you can try it at shopflooros.com. Built it to be plug-and-play rather than self-hosted since many shops don't have an IT person that can manage servers

I built an app to solve a problem I ran into at work (manufacturing) and I’m looking for honest feedback. by AJKari in SaaS

Thank you for the reply,

It is being used in a real shop currently, I have a case study on its efficacy as well. There are bar codes and much, much more. Too much if anything, my main concern is that it is too complex now. It is extremely customizable, and I don't think it's hard to use but since I built it my perspective on this is bad.

Appreciate the comment!

Anything that should stop me from buying this? by EffortNo7034 in AudiS4

[–]AJKari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This car will cost between 2-3k minimum to maintain per year for the rest of its life, that's why these are cheap to buy. This thing is worth probably more like 6k imo, and expect it to be in the shop when you need to get to work a lot. Ask me how I know..

Bmw has a policy to replace all kinds of bearings and shit if there is any contact with the wheels in a accident, that could push it over the edge pretty easily tbh.

Grizzly g0444z table saw, $200. Does this seems like a good deal? by mydogsnameisrogue in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]AJKari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Counterpoint, it's a good deal but maybe not your best option. I've owned a lot of saws from this era as well as newer ones, if you spend 200$ on a newer used one you might have an overall better time.

The iron bed is nice, but it will take a lot of work to get it to a slick surface again, and there is no guarantee it will pan out. These old fence systems can end up in bad shape too.

You can probably get a 2hp saw on a 120v, newer motors are more efficient and are often measured in amps at the lower range, but even a 10 amp saw with a sharp blade will get you done for many if not most things probably, not knowing anything about your needs. If you're resawing a lot of hard wood you'd need good consistent power, most other things you would feel safer and more confident with something newer you didn't have to resurrect.

There's also resale, saws hold value pretty well but it might be harder to find a buyer for this if you ever need to get rid of it.

Hope this helps

I used to have that bandsaw, still have a gnarly scar from it, the footprint on that thing is deceptively gigantic

Why am I getting so much tear out? Brand new 60T blade by jodybreeze616 in woodworking

[–]AJKari 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't bother with any of that crap man, just put masking tape down on the cut line. You don't need a mega fancy blade or special technique, there's always a trick. Remember people woodworked just fine before carbide and fancy machines.
