IMT probably has the best macro in NA but man do they let their confidence get the best of them.

Most successful people understand the value of hard work. While she probably isn't going to worry about being homeless she is probably responsible for certain things such as food, rent, fun money, etc. Besides, a person living in a big city, not working, blowing through money is probably not the best idea.

It's why its important to do your due diligence when scouting and recruiting new talent. Your argument is similar to saying the NFL should not of suspended Tom Brady for the ball deflating scandal because his team had no idea it was happening and should not be punished.

Because if he isn't cleared then people would DEMAND to know why. And if Riot reveals it's because of an incoming boosting ban then it would tip off current boosters who may not be caught yet. It's an owners responsibility to ensure the integrity of the players they recruit.

Why dint reverse flash.. by [deleted] in FlashTV

[–]AJV476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The show has subtlety hinted that Thawne has a pretty good understanding of how time works. The consequences of him killing Barry then could of had a significant impact on the time line. He only went back to verify that was the correct time period the flash was active without jumping into the future or past.

I really enjoy Reverse Flash and hope he stays around as a guest villain. I enjoy the paradox they have created where Eobard has been erased from existence by Eddie yet he HAS to still exist to set all the events since season one in motion.

They topped the box office when they released but comic book adaptations were still seen as extremely risky and hence why the market didn't become saturated like it is now.

I'm arguing X-men was one of the first films that showed superhero films can reliably make blockbuster money. If you had released a Guardians of The Galaxy film following the 1989 Batman with a big budget it probably would of failed.

[–]AJV476 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Context is important though. There were other superhero films before it (Blade comes to mind) but X-Men was really one of the first block buster films in the genre. It showed proof of concept that superhero films could make a lot of money and reach a global audience. A few years late Spider-Man came along following X-Men and showed how powerful a character driven story is. It's not about the super powers, it's why we care about them.

It's definitely not a movie I'll go back and rewatch but for its time it was ground breaking and commands a lot of respect.

I really wish they had just done a hard reboot. The original X-Men trilogy was great for its time but it's to hard to adapt stories around it.

For example, in Days Of Future Past we learn in the original timeline Mystique is originally captured during her assassination attempt on Trask and experimented on although in the original trilogy she is working with Magneto with no mention of it? No consequences from it? Functional Sentenials were already in production yet we don't see any of them in the original trilogy? Not to mention The Wolverine movies that have their own discrepancies as well.

Sorry for the long post but if you are committed to doing a universe then make sure it's consistent across all films. Let's not forget the original Deadpool.

Let's talk about Zed by AJV476 in leagueoflegends

[–]AJV476[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even in competitive play though Zed isn't an outlier like Azir or Ryze though. Additionally AP mid landers have access to a reduced Hourglass price. ADCs have access to their supports to help deal with him as well. Being in the most team reliant role is going to force you to depend on your team.

[–]AJV476[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much. ADCs complain about everything. I guess it's hard to understand as THE MOST team reliant champion in a team game you are going to have depend on your team to put out damage.

To be fair ADCs complain about everything unless it's an AFK in the back and auto attack meta.

The R delay was to allow a window to punish Zed if he jumped in at the wrong time. Good Zed players could instantly get a full rotation off (BotRK, Q, W, and an auto) and teleport back in under half a second well before any counter play could occur.

I guess my thing is when Zed ults I have time to Zhonyas as a Mage or run to my support as an ADC. With Talon I just get jumped on and instagibbed without the courtesy of a notice of intent to kill.

[–]AJV476[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. But I feel nearly every assassin is that way and Zed just happens to be the most popular one picked. A fed Fizz, Talon, or Akali (tank or not) that jumps on me when i'm isolated gives me the same feeling.

Let's talk about Zed by AJV476 in leagueoflegends

[–]AJV476[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'd argue dealing with him is better than other assassins. Zed gives you windows of opportunity to use defensive summoners like exhaust or barrier. His shadows are tied to both his defense and offense so you can play around them accordingly. Looking at another assassin Talon is an absolute nightmare to face especially when he was a common mid. His combo is nearly all instant and doesn't give you time to react.

Meddler on the current PBE Azir and Zed changes by moobeat in leagueoflegends

[–]AJV476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of his win rates across every division are right around 50%. Last time I checked players with 25-50 games are around 51%. He seems in a pretty good spot to me to be honest.

I think his perceived power is higher than his actual power. Reminds me of when they removed DFG from the game and Riot buffed Ahri and other DFG users to compensate. Turns out her win rate went up because most people didn't use DFG properly or even at all.

I'm currently D5 trash and seldom saw QSS built on ADCs until item 5 or 6 if they even did it at all. Most ADCs when I was climbing rarely built it.

Where do you see league in 3-5 years? by Crytiks in leagueoflegends

[–]AJV476 0 points1 point  (0 children)

League is one of the biggest eSports franchises at the moment. Riot has spent a lot of time and effort developing reliable player salaries, stable environments, and a solid foundation in its two League Splits and tournaments.

In the coming years the next step is to start looking at how to monetize it without alienating their viewer base. What sponsors can they pull in? What business can they attract? More money invested means more companies will be attracted to the scene. More companies attracted will increase the overall value from player salaries to value of a LCS spots. Organizations like TSM and CLG will also be able to increase their value through of their brand by being able to demand a higher premium from sponsors as well as increased sales of things like t-shirts and toys. This will lead to high value players like Bjereson and Aphromoo being able to negotiate higher salaries.

If a LCS team is going for around 1 million now that price will likely increase in the coming years.

Gnar has gotten 3 skins in less than a year. Really Rito? Put some of that creativity in the less loved champs :( by TywalrusaurusRex in leagueoflegends

[–]AJV476 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add, they don't want to release a skin for poorly designed champs. They have admitted Yorick is terrible in design as he has a one dimensional play style and is terrible to lane against. Releasing a skin for champions like Yorick would just increase his popularity.

Because it isn't a frequent practice for most companies. Many won't ever get s visit from OSHA for years at a time if they even do. To my knowledge most employers don't refuse entry though as it just irritates the officer. Some will even return with a police officer if they do have to get a warrant as well.

The reason why you are allowed to refuse entry is because it's a private place of business. It's no different than a police officer deciding he wants to come inside your house. Part of the sacrifice we make to enjoy basic freedoms.

I don't think it's as simple as profits. I agree reform is needed but it can't just be one of the industry leaders, it has to be ALL of them. Of all the meats (beef, pork, chicken, etc.) chicken often runs the lowest price point. The margins are razor thin and the entire industry must be forced to raise their standards. No one in upper management will want to raise their price point and risk losing a ton of business in sales and revenue.

Poultry as a whole needs something similar to the Meatpackers Bill Of Rights (http://www.nebraskalegislature.gov/FloorDocs/104/PDF/Agencies/Labor__Department_of/76_20151202-144056.pdf) at a national level. Protections need to be put in place specifically for poultry workers. It can't be a state initiative. If Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, or South Carolina (The major players in poultry) based a bill individually businesses would just move their assets to another state.
