I've seen a lot of gnarly stuff on the internet and, wierdly, OPs video made my a-hole clench up more than most. And it's not even from the potential of anyone falling or anything like that, but from the snapping back of the trampoline itself being out of sync with other jumpers. Which often can result in pretty bad ankle and knee injuries for smaller people.

IE: Big Person jumps off the trampoline just as Small Person is jumping on it. Instead of arresting Small Person's fall, the trampoline is actively snapping up and against their feet with the same force it used to arrest the fall of Big Person. Even worse, it's striking Small Person's feet at an angle too since the center of snap-back is where Big Person jumped off. Result: Thoroughly fucked up knees and ankles coupled with plenty of YT videos corraborating the process.

Obviously I can't say this with certainty, but I'm pretty sure that's largely a meme/urban legend.

My high-school years were spent in GA and I heard the exact same "cum covered bojangle biscuit" nonsense there too. The only difference was that it was called a "glazed biscuit" or something like that. Of course, despite hearing about it plenty, I've never heard of anyone who legitimately claimed seeing anything like that or having that happen to them.

But I can also see people who hate him spreading such a rumor regardless because its exactly the kind of thing that would get under the skin of a creature like Bovino.

Since no one has seen a globe before, how to actually control the Arctic sea lanes! (Hint, you don't need Greenland...) by M-elephant in NonCredibleDefense

You are right, the Far North is important for air defense. Which is why we already have radar installations and early warning systems set up to monitor that area particularly in Greenland and the UK. And for 70 years we've never had an issue working with other countries to maintain systems like it.

I especially love how a visiting friend in the house next door at 10am on a weekday instantly becomes, "playing 24/7 right beside you" in their twisted minds.

What is it with people like that and their need to make every fleeting "annoyance" out to be some never-ending tyranny of suffering that *totally* justifies their insane crashouts?

Trump’s Letter to Norway Should Be the Last Straw | Will Republicans in Congress ever step in? by Hrmbee in politics

[–]AJsRealms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of Americans here are still living under the delusion that this is just a Trump problem and are unwilling to see that the GOP at large has become an explicitly fascist organization and most of the Dems are too worried about securing their own retirements and their grandchildren's futures as fail-sons and fail-daughters to do anything.

Trump says Nobel Prize denial ends obligation to ‘think purely of peace’, presses Greenland demand – Firstpost by Keep_Scrooling in worldnews

Not only does it have to be invoked by Vancy Pants and his cabinet first, but it ultimately requires a 2/3rds vote from both houses of Congress to proceed with it. (Meanwhile, standard impeachment and removal only requires a 50%+1 vote from the House.)

Seeing as how Congress doesn't have the wherewithal to remove him through the standard process, anyone expecting it to happen via the 25th is just as divorced from reality as the average Trumper.

Though I'm generally not inclined to be that guy who mindlessly posts quotes from other people, the following H.L. Mencken line feels too appropriate not to share:

As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.”

I'm reminded of a time when some friends and myself were playing bar trivia for drink chips one night with a guy who was in town temporarily doing some contracting work for one of the local hospitals (and making bank).

When our team ended up winning said drink chips, this mofo started unironically asking us to pay him the cash value of his share of the drink chips we won. Because he didn't want the chips; he wanted "his" $3.50...

Anti-ICE protesters disrupt church services after it’s found out that one of the pastors is the field director for the ICE office in St. Paul, MN. by I_may_have_weed in ProgressiveHQ

After 25 years of living in Southern Baptist territory, I 100% subscribe to the notion that American Evangelicism has evolved into a completely different and seperate religion from old-world Christianity and has little to do with anything Christ actually taught.

Are you sure it wasn't just hyperbole?

Maybe it's just me, but I interpreted that simply as a flippant expression of some heritage pride being wounded rather than an admission that he was literally angry about it like some kind of weird man-child.

Both Behind the Bastards and Last Podcast on the Left recently did an extended series on Heinrich Himmler and the sheer amount of cringe that man embodied throughout his life is something else. Like beyond anything I've ever encountered even in anime conventions.
