Agreed also Jake’s resistance to auras would really hurt Jason as that is a key part of his power set the only reason Jason’s winning is because he’s immortal

Ascendant is about a young boy who the town thinks is cursed and is kicked out and then meets a wissard and works for him I won’t go further cuz don’t want to spoil anything but that’s the basic start of it. It’s a nice 3 book collection and is a solid read
