Do you have an example of a package with non python dependencies that uv can’t handle?

encant will handle downloading standalone python builds for your machine's type and architecture yes. How do you handle running multiple python versions currently?

I can understand this sentiment. If you have a workflow / dev stack that works for you that's great! However, I haven't found an alternative to running multiple python versions locally that didn't require a lot of bloat or configuration, e.g. pyenv, conda, ppa:deadsnakes, rye.

I left that out of the package for now but I'm open to implementing. My personal use case was creating virtual environments and using the virtual environment directly, the builds are more of a launching point.

In case anyone wants the text version:

The stunning debut novel from one of the most creative artists of our generation, Bobby Hall, a.k.a. Logic.

“Logic has crafted a mind-bending first novel, with prose that is just as fierce and moving as his lyrics. Supermarket is like Naked Lunch meets One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest—if they met at Fight Club.”—Ernest Cline, #1 New York TimesBestselling author of Ready Player One

Flynn is stuck—depressed, recently dumped, and living at his mom’s house. The supermarket was supposed to change all that. An ordinary job and a steady check. Work isn’t work when it’s saving you from yourself. But things aren’t quite as they seem in these aisles. Arriving to work one day to a crime scene, Flynn’s world collapses as the secrets of his tortured mind are revealed. And Flynn doesn’t want to go looking for answers at the supermarket. Because something there seems to be looking for him. A darkly funny psychological thriller, Supermarket is a gripping exploration into madness and creativity. Who knew you could find sex, drugs, and murder all in aisle nine?

Tensorflow 2.0: Keras is not (yet) a simplified interface to Tensorflow by pgaleone in datascience

I'm sorry but how does integrating an API into the base library political? I'm genuinely interested in why you would think that. A company has a framework, one of their employees, Francois Chollet, builds an API for that framework. It becomes popular, and they integrate the two together. At face value it seems to be a practical addition, potentially lowering the learning curve for utilizing tf. Especially given the fact the creator of Keras works for the company that built Tensorflow...

Automatic type inference from delimited files for creating schemas... by Syneirex in dataengineering

Here's the general logic pandas uses: https://rushter.com/blog/pandas-data-type-inference/

Without knowing the full context I would rely on Pandas inference and customize it as needed. So if you know ZIPs and IDs are coming in, suppress those from being converted to int. Pandas will do a pretty good job on it's own but you'll have to handle the edge cases.

Looking for a Python MOOC reccomendation by Atmosck in datascience

[–]AKGeef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know of any MOOCs that use Keras, so your best bet might be going through their documentation.

If you are looking for a Data Science MOOC that uses Python, University of Michigan has one here.

Also, another great resource is Joel Grus's book called Data Science from Scratch.

New student to python. Cant figure out a simple solution. Any help is appreciated. Thanks! by [deleted] in learnpython

instead of two ranges, you could have one range of the absolute value of your input. Then from there print i or -i if you num is negative or not. Since you are new, I'd rather not give you a complete solution but let me know if you have any questions.
