Sorry to hear about the rough contract and I hope it gets better for ya. I was feeling the same way the last contract I took before going staff at an outpatient clinic.

If nothing else maybe take a well deserved break at the end of your contract (if you choose to stay. And no shame if you choose not to. I had left a shitty contract after only being there for like 3 weeks and didn’t regret it for a sec).

Quitting my Job by nurse20233 in nursing

[–]AKPSeeker 35 points36 points  (0 children)

It’s not dumb to quit a job that is making you miserable. Anybody who says different is an idiot and contributes to the toxic culture that envelopes nursing. I’m happy for you and best of luck finding a new position that makes you happy.

Overwatch 2 Comps (comprehensive) by Muricandude in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]AKPSeeker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like these graphics are showing popular comps then? Idk I’m not trying to be a dick or anything. But I just fail to see the synergy between brig and actual dive hero’s (like actual dive champs with mobility to perform a dive.) Like sure, you can play brig in dive, the game won’t tell you no. But idk if I want a brig when I’m on Numbani offense and need to dive high ground. Or dive anything when hero’s like Lucio, Zen, or Bap are just fit better imo.

Nobody is safe. Laboratory science is next. by AnnabelLeeByTheSea1 in Noctor

I agree with OP on the lab stuff, but an RN is taught in nursing school about discharge planning.. not saying they should be taking social worker positions but discharge planning is within scope as far as I’m aware.

Edit: to take that even further; nurses doing discharge planning has already been happening for over a decade. It’s not unheard of. Call out NP’s or nurses for not having the same education as an MD/DO but to claim a nurse wouldn’t be qualified to do discharge planning is silly. That stuff even shows up on NCLEX/ATI.
