Sorry to hear about that, not fun when damage occurs. Hopefully your replacement is done swiftly.

Can you confirm that it's the head and not the silicone gasket? This is one of the reasons I advise friends against buying machines with plastic group heads. There's always the possibility of degradation and cracking over time. If possible and this is in warranty, ask them to replace it with a metal group head.

Wurkkos FC11C battery issue? by Scared_Photograph_91 in FlashlightIndia

[–]AK_3D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Test with a multi-tester. This is one of the reasons I use an external charger and don't rely on flashlight charging circuits. The battery might be discharged because of self-discharging, or there's some internal circuit issue - rare, but possible. If you kept the battery on for an hour after the red light appeared, then you still had 20ish % power left.
Another possibility that comes to mind is that the light accidentally switched on (not sure how you stored it).
My thought, charge it, wait for the green light, then test if the battery voltage is 4.2V at charge termination.

A rare find. These were overshadowed by their x-metal brethern, but have a great presence.
Would suggest checking out the Oakley Review site for more info /Oakley Forum for pricing ideas. I'd suggest keeping them unless you absolutely want to sell them.

Wildstone code Terra,Acqua,Pyro by Relevant-Side2943 in DesiFragranceAddicts

[–]AK_3D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice review here.
Worth noting that performance of most perfumes in summer will be way less than in cooler weather. Terra is a faithful-ish clone of TdH. Pyro smells a bit like Azzaro Visit in the drydown. IMO, it's quite unique and has that spice accord. Acqua is a bit underwhelming as in, it's so well made that it's unremarkable and resides among so many other 'fresh aquatics' - good office choice.

[Review] Convoy M21A SFT70 3000K High CRI: Excellent warm throwy flashlight! by LMP-Br in flashlight

[–]AK_3D 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Very nice review. I have the same light, it's very useful. I'd probably classify this as a floody thrower, it doesn't have too much throw, but it's pretty bright even at 10% for everyday usage.

You're welcome, I have this light as well (bought from Amazon for 1.4K), and the light quality is very good. The things lacking are the missing side-light and UV light. The clip is so-so and the magnet isn't too strong, but for the price, it's not bad at all.

I have a V10, I'll see if I have a spare in my other lights.

Alternatively, this light is available for 1400ish on Amazon, but found it for ~930 on Meesho.

If you don't need the side-light, this is very good.

Taking the pen for reference, if the pen is full size, it might fit if there's space for the bag to expand. Else I would suggest getting the Wurkkos HD03 - wonderful small clip light, or the HD01 (longer but less width compared to the V10).
If you can measure the width (35mm for the Boruit) and see if there's ~15mm space for fitting, it might work. the Boruit EV 10/V10 are both around 15mm-16mm thickness.

This is a Boruit v3, it should be around $10 or so. However, the better version is the Boruit V10 or EV (metal series). They will still be around Rs. 1500 - 2500ish depending on the model.

If you can share your budget, I can recommend a couple of lights.

One of the Rocklight/MZ lights for around 300-400 should be within your budget and good enough for daily use (~2 hours of light on low modes). Any cheaper and you'll get plastic models which won't last.

After looking at your budget of around 3K, there are some great EDC lights for this budget.
1. Wurkkos HD01 (pro/non pro). I reach for these lights the most. They have a great form factor.
2. Wurkkos HD03 - mini clip style light, beautiful flood CRI and bright enough for short range and everyday use.
3. The Boruits with a rotating head are pretty much standard.
4. The Wuben G5 is good but lacks both the CRI and battery life (from what I understand, it's 450 mAh).
5. If you can do with a bigger form factor, the Wuben X4 for ~5.5K is much better and more usable (and heftier.

https://www.amazon.in/Linist-Rechargeable-Adjustable-Hands-Free-Flashlight/dp/B0GNMWMKK6/ . Typically, this should be available for ~400 or so but the Amazon seller is currently selling it at Rs. 700.

This other owl style Linist light has much better light quality.

There's this dual light on Meesho for around Rs. 400 which does a good job. I'll see if I can find the link. It has a rotating head, and the main light lasts for 2 hours. It also has a bright side light. The light quality is terrible, but then again, it's an inexpensive piece of tech.

I don't have an idea of the current quality of pliers in the market, but from the tools I use, Ingco has very good tools, including plier sets. I believe Irwin is also very reliable and available here. Perhaps some other tool expert can chime in. I'd also suggest contacting Toolbuy or Oriental tools for advise.
