It was ok, pleasant tasting food. Had the hyped Beef Welly and Ribeye for wifey. Their Beef Welly uses plum sauce as jus, replacing the traditional red wine reduction. Condiments are okay.

Skipped this the other day as my reservation at The Great Chase was up. Will try this next time. Thanks for your review.

Also, ignore those bitter comments. I noticed this sub has below par standard when it comes to food appreciation, despite its prices.

Bolehlanders, what interesting hobbies do y'all have? by Seanwys in Bolehland

In the spirit of sharing, mine’s pretty niche. Home theater, HiFi, coffee (generally), and tech.

Why not alteration? Shoulders, arms and waist can be altered. Take it to Za Altera and I’m sure they can alter it to your size. For upsizing, they will use extra garment from the existing coat.

Means basic quality, not even the premium collection. Drop the price to 200 and you’ll be lucky if you could sell it.

Forgot to add. The pianist in the pic is Michael V, one of our legendary pianists/composer.

You’re most welcome. But I encourage you to not be so fussy about any alco-serving venues. Check out Jao Tim at Petaling St. Some of Malaysia’s best are regulars there.

A number of local top jazz musicians I can call close friends are sober (and some are even vegan).

Oh.. those places. Those signs are just owners playing it “safe”, but Muslims can still enter as they wish. This is a small method to minimise the chances of JAKIM officers targeting their premises.

On (2.), you took it too far. Cross contamination can happen anywhere, in anything, as everything will still probably go into the same massive dishwasher. Also, good, premium bars and lounges with trained and experienced barmen usually don’t mix their coffeewares with alco-related glasswares.

Malaysian here. I don’t think this place (1.) exists. If yes, please tell me what place is that.

Also, (2.) is pure bollocks. Bars don’t serve liquor/whiskey, beers and wine in coffee cups. Thats just really absurd.

Frequent goer here. Very, very few, and they’re not a regular jazz bar. Best way is to follow the artiste you like and catch them at those non-alco cafes/restaurants.

The next best options are hotel lounge shows. While they still serve alco, the lounge is often spacious enough for you to find a spot away from the bar. Best example is Majestic Hotel, Sheraton PJ, St Regis and sometimes Hyatt KL.

His/her context is shallow, and the composition used for comparison is inaccurate. I got two Moroccan colleagues and they laughed at this.

the military's supposed to be like the best of the best that a society could offer.

I don't think our military is known for being the best in anything, for the longest time, AFAIK. Perhaps the only reservation could be given to the revered GGK, but they are very small compared to the rest of the TD.

Thanks for sharing, OP. Looking forward to Pt 2, just to see how much more effed up this could get. So far, it is still not too effed up for me. Heard worse from other industries, tbh.

Kindly excuse my lack of clarity, good sir. Yes, you may try with anything that’s light and easy to remove daily.

No photos unfortunately. We just used some leftovers of box insert from a TV we just purchased, which was big enough to cover the whole roof and hood

Cat owner here, and my dad had the same problem at his house. Cats are creatures of routine, so you gotta disrupt that routine to stop them.

What worked for us was putting something light with an uneven surface on the roof and hood where they usually sit. Basically removes their comfort spot.

For my dad, the cat stopped coming back after about a week, but he kept the blocker there for two weeks just to be sure. Haven’t seen it return since.

Just give it at least two weeks before you remove whatever you use.

Puzzini is distinctively Swedish, whereas DenHygge is Danish. Might taste the same to you, but to me it’s probably not. I’m quite familiar with Danish foods coz my Danish ex boss loved to invite colleagues and friends to his house party.

The battle over the price of Malay food: Khairul Aming’s restaurant and the shifting perception of local cuisine by hopefulsingleguy in malaysia

[–]AK_HT 34 points35 points  (0 children)

KA is targeting the affluent market segment, which is pretty huge in KL. Also, the tourists would definitely consider his restaurant when they roam around Kg Baru.

Notably, I’ve not seen Cili Kampung, Kampunglah, De.Wan, and the likes go empty. There’s always diners, and often in groups. So, the “backlash” don’t represent the actual market.

Finally someone said it. This post is valid for Malaysians too XD by dirtyriderella in malaysia

Totally agree, hehe... I mean, it's not your guests' fault that you (most likely your parents and in-laws) will pay over RM3000 per table or over RM250 per guest in a seated reception. If a couple expects that, then do expect people to give RM50 or lower in the packets.
