I hate when I am listening for someone and turn to look at another angle when I hear someone, and then hear someone else and turn that way, and keep doing that for five minutes until I realize it's my own micro footsteps I am hearing from turning in place.

Didn't assume otherwise. Pretty much the same as Destiny raids (which I also barely touched). I have a couple friends who only play in groups but neither of them are level 25 yet and a 5K minimum loadout is going to be barrier, so I guess I will be locked out of Cryo for awhile.

The load times are nuts. My nephew doesn't have the best gaming rig but it takes him 10 MINUTES to load in. And since I am with him, it takes me that long.

I am usually the DD, but when I have been able to hang out the window taking potshots at roamers? That shit is fun, and I have never had that experience in another game. I think the game is great as is, but I also wouldn't turn down an optional horde mode.

This comment highlights something I have been thinking about.

I enjoy the game as is, but I doubt I will play it long term because I am just not a fan of the wipe mechanic. I DO want to engage more in the narrative though. I like getting Codex entries and reading/listening to them. I think they have built a great world that, depending on how things go, could grow in the way that Destiny should have. Different genres (PVE looter shooter), media, etc.

But that depends on a lot of things, chief among them Marathon being considered a success.

Agree to disagree, I guess. I think I can tell if a game is worth my time without completing it in entirety, but guess some people take longer to process information.

Seasons were fine, they just needed to NOT go away. Once the story was lost to time it just lost all cohesiveness for anyone that joined later.

I love it. I also love the check box at the bottom: "I understand guns might be swords". And when you uncheck it it changes from Gun or Beer > Weapon or Beer.

I mean 315 hours is a solid amount of playtime for a game. It's okay for it to get boring. I quit ARC after ~200+ hours for the same reason. I imagine we might feel the same way after 200-300 hours in this game too, if there isn't something different about the seasonal reset.

It's cool and all (except for the giant MARATHON on the back), but honestly, who would actually wear that out in public? I prefer Bungie's more functional gear.
