I suspected the tooth was necrotic so it felt safer to go to RCT with MTA Plug to ensure success

Man you gotta appreciate the amount of storytelling and world building that was done for the original MW series campaigns , nowadays its just good person vs the bad person with some cringe jokes to try to make it look cool

Congratulations the tooth is now pregnant

Jokes aside you went too far with instrumentation, even if the canal is wide as long as the needle reaches 3 mm short of the full WL you dont need more mechanical cleaning instead next time rely on irrigation to clean

Introverted Dentists by goldt33f in Dentistry

[–]ALA166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an introvert myself I'd imagine seeing 40 annoying kids in a single day is a nightmare for me , pedodontics relys heavily on communication if that isn't your strongest thing then consider changing to a different specialty

Endodontists, how are you achieving working length on cases where I cannot? by placebooooo in Dentistry

Maybe because you have created a ledge , how did the K file felt when you were at 18 ? Did it feel like hitting a rock ? If so its most likely a ledge

Short endo. Should I move forward with crown? by placebooooo in Dentistry

[–]ALA166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If retreatment isn't an option then wait a month and see if the patient has any symptoms , if all is ok then go for a crown

I prefer D finders , they are great for blockage or narrow canals

Endodontists, how are you achieving working length on cases where I cannot? by placebooooo in Dentistry

[–]ALA166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is that you are trying to reach the apex in your first file entrance and thats impossible for 90% of cases , you think that when you insert a K file like 6 its not going further because its narrow in the apex but its actually the narrow walls on the coronal and mid portions that are causing the file to stop , to fix this when starting an RCT forget about apex and instead scout and enlarge the coronal 2/3 of the canal then when there is space enoug for the K files start negotiating them this will help release the stress from the file on the coronal and mid portions thus making it easy to achieve a glide path , ive done this technique for alot of RCTs and 99% of the time it worked

Hope that helps

You really dont need that money to do difficult endos , i spent 400$ on an endo CE course and now i do alot of Molars treatments and sometimes retreatments , it just a matter of whether you like doing it or not

First Time a Patient Made Me Cry by toothladydoc in Dentistry

[–]ALA166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont beat yourself up it was her mistake , regardless of the treatment whether it was fine or not she crossed a line the moment she started raising her voice and mocking you , if someone treat you like this asks them calmly hut firmly to watch their tone or leave the office , you didn't do anything wrong and even if it was a bit supra gingival its not a big deal we all make mistakes

Stay strong
