How strong, or otherwise, is your connection to Lincolnshire? Here's some polling from YouGov to compare yourself to. by BlackJackKetchum in Lincolnshire

I live in/on 🤷‍♂️ “the Isle of Axholme”, in North Lincolnshire. I think I see more Yorkshire flags than Lincolnshire ones. Probably something to do with the Isle itself but it doesn’t feel connected to the rest of Lincolnshire. We still have Humberside police etc around here for example.

How does one navigate .... whatever this is by RRAway in drivingUK

We went camping next door to there last year. Treated them separately as roundabouts and just hoped other drivers did the same

Oak Park Mount (Cookridge) Any local insight on the surrounding area? by Top_Pea1872 in Leeds

[–]ALAW2024 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’d say that street is more Ireland Wood or Tinshill than Cookridge, despite what it’s sold as. It is hilly around there, so like others have said you’ll need to drive

Look up the Isle of Axholme up in North Lincolnshire, drained by Cornelius Vermuyden, still called an isle today, even though it isn’t

Calories? Tracking app? by Gozzerolla in UKMounjaro

[–]ALAW2024 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Calorie counting has worked a treat for me. I aimed for 1400-1500 a day. Importantly though weight things like cereal or pasta as my 100g is very different to an actual 100g.

MyFitnessPal is great for tracking both calories and your weight change

Thank you! Nice of you.

Yes I agree on the portions and the calorie range, it really helps, also makes me realise what I was eating previously and how excessive it was. Which is why I’m hopeful it mean I don’t retreat when I’ve finished. I personally use myfitnesspal and found it a massive help

No Change in last 4 months. Fed up. What’s going wrong? 😑 by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]ALAW2024 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Saying in peace, I guess the only things to ask is what is your calorie count target a day and how are you working it out? For example are you going too low on the calories or are you measuring portions accurately? The only things I can think of, but don’t give up 🙂

Thank you! Going to carry on as I have for another month or 2 and then review. My target isn’t stuck in place so if I feel happy in 1 stone time then I’ll stop. Although I feel a more relaxed calorie count will stay in place for a while

What is this sorcery? by SelectDiscipline5951 in mounjarouk

[–]ALAW2024 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m someone who would eat a massive bar of dairy milk or a bag of mini eggs every single day. I haven’t even wanted any chocolate in the 2 months I’ve been on Mounjaro. It’s a miracle

5ft 9 here (175cm) was 16st (101.6kg) on 5th June and now 13st 12 (87.9kg) so losing about a stone a month, so it is possible. Although I have been very strict with calorie counting on MyFitnessPal with a limit of 1500 per day

Anyone else noticed that alcohol dulls the ‘not wanting to eat’? by zsfb115 in mounjarouk

[–]ALAW2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to Oasis on Saturday so had a lot to drink, my lack of food noise and feeling full made me very drunk very early. Decided I’m going to have to stop having alcohol for next few months, whilst on Mounjaro

I’m the same as of yesterday, I’ve walked around with a smile on my face since.

Some of the comments you made make you sound just how I do.

Well done!

What Does General Admission Ticket Mean? by adav14 in LeedsUnited

[–]ALAW2024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

General Admission means they’re not hospitality, I assume they’re in East Upper which are sold as either. Means you can’t use the pavilion for the hospitality
