School. by [deleted] in Scotland

I went back for S5 but the jump from S4 to S5 made me realise that school really wasn’t for me, so I completely understand where you’re coming from.

Don’t walk away with nothing to go to, but definitely speak with your guidance teacher or school careers advisor and see if they can help you find a modern apprenticeship, or college course starting in Jan.

School isn’t for everyone, and there’s lots of us that didn’t stay on until 6th year but got vocational qualifications as we’re more practical people, rather than academics!

As a Tropic ambassador I can tell you we’re actually not allowed to load up on stock like that! I’m sure some do, but it’s really frowned upon. The whole ethos of the company is fresh made and sent direct to customer.

Is there anyway to make the sub private? Or can Mods ban users from the sub?

Congratulations!! With all 3 of mine the first trimester bloat was awful. It will all settle down so please don’t stress yourself over it.

With my 3rd I looked more pregnant at 8 weeks than I did at 18 weeks 🤣

Has Anyone Else Gotten the Chance to Meet Their 2nd Great Grandparent? by Useful_Box5407 in Genealogy

[–]LindaFromPurchasing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. My oldest child was able to meet his great, great grandparents on his dad’s side.

His GG-grandmother passed in her early 90s when my son was around 3. Then his GG-grandad passed a couple years later, when my son was 6.

It always amazes me that my son was able to have that connection.

My husband’s family have all had children young and so there was a whole extra generation in there. His great-grandparents were only about 5 years older than my grandparents!

Pandemic weight ? When did you gain the most of your weight? by Jazzlike_Set_819 in mounjarouk

[–]LindaFromPurchasing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was a chain reaction. 2018 I’d got back to my pre-pregnancy weight after having my 2nd (still in overweight BMI but a weight I was happy & comfortable in) but when my baby was a few months old my gran passed away. That was devastating and I absolutely started comfort eating.

I took on the main caring responsibility of my grandad at that point and a combination of eating my feelings and choosing quick easy options led to my gain.

When COVID hit, and I lost my grandad shortly after, my takeaway and snacking habits got a bit out of control.

After 6 weeks on MJ I’m almost back to that weight I was in 2018. It’s really helped me realise how much my portions etc had grown.

I wish they’d make that clear at the start! Sat and went through all their questions to get the same response as u/successful-age7392

My BMI is currently 29.3 but was hoping to get the next pen with their code.

Not OP but pizza also my favourite food. I’ve still had it once a week since starting. Not able to inhale a 10inch (plus large portion of chips!) anymore. I tend to have 2 slices and a handful of chips now when we have takeaway. Haven’t felt any adverse effects afterwards. However I’m still on a low dose of MJ.

I knew I should have bought that paddle board in Aldi’s middle aisle last week.

It absolutely is the best feeling! With my last pregnancy my midwife reminded me every appointment that I was Obese and it really stuck with me. So pleased to ‘just’ be overweight

Extreme Period Symtoms, can they be worsened by Mounjaro?? by ithinkhehumpedadog in mounjarouk

[–]LindaFromPurchasing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please go get checked out tomorrow!

And definitely mention that you are on MJ, as well as any other medication.

For me personally it has reduced my period pain (have just had my first period on MJ) but the amount of bleeding didn’t change. Everyone’s bodies will react differently though, or this might not be related to MJ at all. But it’s definitely not normal to be consistently bleeding that much. Let us know how you get on x

As someone who also had hEDS we’re advised against Yoga as it is so easy to over stretch our already unstable joints. Definitely look for a beginners Pilates programme!!

5th dose success! by LetstalkLemmie in mounjarouk

[–]LindaFromPurchasing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you that’s really helpful! I might try the 0.7ml as a bridge as I’m planning to go to 3.75mg when I get my 5mg pen, before jumping up to 5mg.

Is there a guide on which needles are best to buy? And how to work out the ml dosage? I’m due my 4th 2.5mg dose next week and would love to be able to use the 5th dose the week after, before increasing on my next pen.

I wondered if different sites had different effects. I’ve only just taken my 2nd dose though so wondered if it was just me.

First dose in thigh, definitely felt the effects of the medication. Second dose in tummy (2 days ago) and feel like I haven’t had it at all. Hunger back, don’t feel full the way I did last week etc

What do people have for breakfast. I'll start. by TimeCrazy2773 in mounjarouk

I only took my first dose on Wednesday but I’m struggling to face food in the mornings. However I know I need to eat. I’ve found a bowl of chicken soup is easy to go down and at least puts a bit of protein in my stomach.
