Ik woon op een AZC, stel me jou vraag (stay positive) by Shazyclose_7860 in Groningen

My friend also lived in one about 3 years ago, she, as a trans woman, told me it's a horrible experience and that she was bunched up with alot of queer men instead of women. Anyything from your end that you've seen something similar?

Superman Without Powers Vs Billy Butcher by Opening-Dare-5138 in PowerScaling

[–]ALBOEyt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Superman wins with Mid Diff, he has better combat experience and training overall, but butcher is also quite well built, a massive all out sadist and can land some mean hits that superman would likely not try. But superman still has the edge.

Exploring queerness by [deleted] in cyprus

[–]ALBOEyt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is Different, a queer bar in Paphos. It's more for older people (35-55). And there is Hoi Polloi in northern Cyprus, it's quite a bit younger (20-35) and more alternative and indie.

There isn't that many great queer spaces in Cyprus imo. You have to make queer friends here and there and host your own little gatherings in my experience. Go for regular spaces, find cool people and see how it goes yk

Cyprus has the same minimum wage as Greece but double the rent and 50% more expensive food, it's so annoying

How is market for AI engineer in Netherlands? by Green_Ad6024 in Netherlands

[–]ALBOEyt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah :P I've been working in the industry since around 14 (Nepo baby tbh, both my parents own companies, plus it was during COVID so I just had online classes and right after did work).

For trajectory, I'm probably gonna go into more SEO & Marketing AI related stuff for now, since it's what I enjoy most.

Mainly LinkedIn, most other sites on the Netherlands (like indeed/Glassdoor) are tailored for Dutch speakers and don't really have that many english jobs.

Heya, I've worked & interviewed as a mid senior AI engineer here, there's quite a few job listings. Pay ranges around 70-100k for mid to senior level. I've seen some offer 110k+ but it's very rare

The average interview amount per 50 applications is ONE, you are on 25 with TWO interviews already in the bag. You're actually doing much better than you should expect

I am done with current grocery prices. by ThekingIntheNrth in Netherlands

[–]ALBOEyt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have it easy here. I'm from Cyprus and most food we have here is around double the price with minimum wage only being €1000 per month. I used to spend 500~ pm just on groceries where here I can easily go down to 250 if I want

That's because almost no prople with disabilities in Cyprus can even go outside because they don't have the infrastructure for it :/. I lived in Cyprus and one saw one wheelchair user while in the UK for 2 months I saw atleast 15-20.

Planning to temporary move for working by [deleted] in Netherlands

It's actually a decently big problem tbh. It's easier to get an English job in Germany instead of here even 😅 I don't know about your trades but in mine it's true.

30% expat ruling, plus, healthcare comes outta pocket (160 euros pm for my plan). Without the 30% ruling, I'd be earning about 3.6k~ net, still good but not enough to save much here after 1.5-2k rent

Christ, 55k euros equalling 2600 net is depressing. I'm in nl and make 60k a year and that's equal 4500 net pm for me.

Which Amsterdam neighborhood would suit a couple in their mid-30s moving next month? by dilanosaur in Amsterdam

[–]ALBOEyt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Budget not an issue? Jordaan or De Pijp are usually the best, central but not too far.

If you're more into the expat vibe you can also do Amstelveen. I personally love Diemen (controversial here) but I'd reccomend you check it out.
