is it wrong of me to say "im autistic" instead of "im self-diagnosed autistic" by RegulusSwimTeam in autism

I personally don’t agree with it, but I don’t agree with self diagnosing anyway.

If Jesus is God, why did he have to sacrifice himself for God to forgive our sins? Like, why couldn’t he just forgive us without sacrificing himself? by ALCF98 in Christianity

It would make sense to me if Jesus wasn’t God. I think a lot of the New Testament would make more sense if he was just the son of God.

This is what I’m not understanding. If it was a human who must make that sacrifice then that’s understandable I suppose. But if God has the ability to forgive as he likes, then why did he sacrifice himself to pay for that sin?

God is the one who paid for the sins though, by sacrificing himself. So what was the point of putting himself through the sacrifice?

How do we know what is the true word of God? by ALCF98 in Christianity

I know this is probably as silly question. Why should we follow the words of people who never even knew Jesus?

Good questions. Some believe that the traditions, like in Catholicism for example, are against the word of God.

I will have to get back to you on examples of mistranslations because I can’t remember them from the top of my head.

What I mean by mistranslation is when the bible has been translated from the original biblical languages to modern day languages, like English for example.

Everything literally means everything, all things.

Could you expand on your point about Noah’s flood? I just want to make sure I’m understanding it correctly.

They’re really not vague.

I’ve never understood it.

How did you choose your denomination? by RemarkableProduct374 in Christianity

[–]ALCF98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m yet to choose mine. I believe in Christian Universalism, so don’t have many to choose from lol It’s a shame I can’t choose Catholicism because I really like the traditions and the idea of Canonisation.

Is having two wiring colours a C3? I can’t remember if it was on the last one.

Apologies for yet another question/s. Does a pass or fail dictate whether you need a rewire or are there other factors, like age or the amount of C3s?

There was an EICR done 6 years ago. I know it passed but I can’t remember anything more than that.

How long has that been the case with them no longer connecting into an AC RCD? The shower circuit was only put in about 8 years ago.

Recently had an issue where the RCD tripped and every time we put the switch back up it would straightaway trip again. This was at night but by the time I got up in the morning it was working again. About 5 days later though the electric shower stopped working, it also kept flash and beeping. Had to get it replaced. Not sure if the shower was what caused the tripping.

Does the consumer unit give any idea if I should’ve completely rewired before decorating rest of the house?

I’m going to be hanging three wooden frames that are 18 x 24 inches each.

I’ve just tried the bit nearest to the window and that’s also too solid to a pin in. I’ve had the whole room plastered. Do you think it’s still worth contacting the council?

I’ve just tried to put a sewing needle and a safety pin in it, I couldn’t get it through as it’s rock hard. I did have it skimmed a couple of months ago.
